Apparatus for securely and gently holding a flexible elongated medical device
A clip for holding a flexible elongated medical device. In embodiments, the clip has a hinge; first and second jaws movable with respect to each other about the hinge from a closed position to an open position, each of the jaws having a contact surface, the contact surface of the first jaw being disposed against the contact surface of the second jaw when the clip is in the closed position and away from the contact surface of the second jaw when the clip is in the open position; and flexible material disposed on at least one of the jaws, the flexible material comprising the contact surface. The invention also includes methods of holding a flexible elongated medical device.
Infusion set improvements
A method and device for adjusting the unstored length of tubing directed to improving the use of infusion sets that deliver fluids to a user. The device includes a storage module and other features for adjusting, storing and securing the length of the tubing. The method of adjusting the length of the tubing to a desired length typically comprises removably attaching the tubing to the adjuster, adjusting the tubing by wrapping the tubing around a hub or post of the adjuster, and fixing the length of the unstored tubing by attaching the tubing to a securing device such as a friction structure or fastener.
Locking tube clip
A component useable with one or more tube comprises a body engageable with one or more external surface recesses of the one or more tubes. The component has a pair of jaws extending from the body for gripping an item. The component is configured, such that, in use, in a first orientation of the body relative to the respective tube(s) recesses, the component is movable along a length of the tube(s); and, in a second orientation of the body relative to the respective tube(s) recesses, the component is resistive to movement along a length of the tube(s).
A METHOD FOR LOCATING A VACUUM ASSISTED THERAPY DEVICE AND A DEVICE FOR USE IN THE METHOD
There is described a vacuum assisted therapy device (36) for applying a negative pressure to a site in an endoluminal surface in the upper gastrointestinal tract 5 of a patient. In embodiments, the device (36) comprises an absorption element (38) for application of suction to the endoluminal surface via an outer peripheral face (71) of the absorption element. The outer peripheral surface extends between the proximal and distal ends of the absorption element. The device also comprises tubing (40) providing a longitudinal internal lumen for supplying the suction to the absorption element (38), 10 and a coupling fitting (50) is provided on a distal end of the tubing. The coupling fitting is configured for connection in use to an extraction element (60) for drawing of the distal end of the tubing through the nasal cavity of the patient following insertion of the absorption element into the upper gastrointestinal tract of the patient via the patient's mouth. The tubing (40) can provide one or more internal lumens to the 15 absorption element. In embodiments, a coupling (50, 58) formed between the extraction element and the coupling fitting of the device is sized and dimensioned to facilitate the drawing of the tubing through the nose of the patient. Methods and systems for coupling conduits
Medical devices including vascular access kits and related methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, a vascular access system may include a first conduit, a second conduit, and a connector that is reversibly or irreversibly coupled to both the first and second conduits such that there is a continuous lumen from the first conduit and the second conduit. In some embodiments the vascular access system may include a connector where the inside geometry of the connector enhances laminar flow. The vascular access system, when implanted and assembled, may be a fully subcutaneous surgical implant.
Respiratory airway and intravenous extension system (RAIVES)
A respiratory airway and intravenous extension system (RAIVES) apparatus includes a female-configured side plate and a male-configured side plate. A connector spring is configured to engage with and to couple together the female-configured side plate and the male-configured side plate. The connector spring provides an inward spring bias to bias a lower portion of the female-configured side plate and a lower portion of the male-configured side plate together into a default closed position. The RAIVES also includes raised guidance elements and a plurality of securing bands for securing a medical extension device to the raised guidance elements.
ENTERAL FEEDING ADAPTER
We generally describe an enteral feeding adapter comprising: a tube section; a crimping fixation unit arranged on said tube section at a first section of said enteral feeding adapter for releasably connecting said enteral feeding adapter with a gastrostomy tube connector; and a screw cap freely rotatably arranged around said tube section at a second section of said enteral feeding adapter for connecting said enteral feeding adapter with a screw connector.

The present invention discloses an equipment for winding medical tubing, employing automated, sequentially-arranged workstations (1, 5, 7) capable of operating simultaneously, comprising one or more conveying units (2), one or more bending units (3) for arranging medical tubing (10) in a U shape, one or more loading units (4), one or more winding stations (5) for winding medical tubing (10), one or more unloading units (6) and, optionally, one or more packaging units (7).
Device for clamping and holding medical hose lines
A device for clamping and holding medical hose lines includes a hose clamp with two clamping legs on opposite sides of a passage. The passage is configured to receive a first hose portion. The clamping legs are movable between a clamping position, in which the clamping legs constrict the passage and clamp the first hose portion, and a release position in which the constriction is eliminated. The device also includes a holding clip connected to the hose clamp. The holding clip has two arms arranged opposite one another bordering a recess. The recess is configured to receive at least one second hose portion to be held between the arms. The arms are movable relative to one another between an open position, in which the arms expose a slot opening radially into the recess, and a holding position in which the slot is closed or at least constricted.
BREAKER DEVICE FOR ACTING ONTO A CLOSURE ELEMENT OF A MEDICAL TUBING
A breaker device (1) for acting onto a closure element (40) of a medical tubing (4) comprises a drive arrangement (2) having an electric drive device (20) and a drive element (23) driven by the drive device (20), and a breaker module (3) which is arrangeable on the drive arrangement (2). The breaker module (3) comprises a housing (30), a movable part (31) movably arranged on the housing (30) and a breaking element (315) for acting onto the closure element (40) of the tubing (4), wherein the breaker module (3) in an attached state is placed on the drive arrangement (2), the drive element (23) being in operative connection with the movable part (31) in the attached state such that a movement of the drive element (23) causes the movable part (31) to move for actuating the breaking element (315). A control device (5) serves for controlling the electric drive device (20) for driving the drive element (23). Herein, the control device (5) is constituted to control, during a detection routine, the electric drive device (20) to drive the drive element (23) in order to move the movable part (31), wherein the control device (5) is further constituted to analyse at least one feedback signal received during the detection routine for determining a type of the breaker module (3), the feedback signal being indicative of a movement of the movable part (31) during the detection routine.
