OVERHEAD TRUCK DOOR OPENING AND CLOSING MECHANISM
An opening and closing mechanism for a roll-up cargo door for a truck is intended to decrease injuries to the people who load and unload items from box trucks and semi-trailers. The mechanism allows the user to open and close the overhead roll-up door of these trucks while standing firmly and safely on the ground at the rear corner of the truck. The door opening and closing mechanism is in the form of a loop of material that is attached to a lower portion of the roll-up door and a guide disposed near the top of the door frame. The loop is disposed along one of the vertical frame members of the door so that it is out of the way of the cargo hold when the door is open.
Barrier Control System with Auxiliary Power Supply and Auxiliary Power Supply for Barrier Control System
The invention relates generally to the field of barrier control systems and in particular relates to barrier control systems, such as a garage door opener, with auxiliary power supply and auxiliary power supply for barrier control systems. A barrier control system, such as a garage door opener, with an auxiliary power supply and an auxiliary power supply for a barrier control system are described. The auxiliary power supply includes a backup battery and a light source that is operable on DC power. The auxiliary power supply includes a sensor to detect whether a DC motor of the barrier control system is powered by the backup battery, and switches on the light source upon detecting the DC motor being powered by the backup battery.
Sliding Window Mechanism I
This invention pertains to mechanisms for opening and closing sliding windows especially in homes and buildings. A sliding window comprises a pane which is installed in a sliding frame. The frame is sliding vertically or horizontally within a static outer frame which has two parallel guides that guide the sliding frame. There are three similar approaches for such a mechanism: a two cables mechanism, a single roller chain mechanism and a two roller chains mechanism. The two cable approach uses four pulleys and two flexible cables. The single roller chain approach employs two sprockets. The two roller chains approach uses four sprockets. The window can be operated manually or by using an electric motor. The window assembly includes two safety systems which protect persons from being caught by a closing window. The window assembly also includes a burglar alarm and does not require a latch for window locking.
Vehicle parking with automated guided vehicles, vertically reciprocating conveyors and safety barriers
A safety barrier assembly is provided for a parking garage is positioned in proximity to an opening for a VRC and includes a horizontal AGV safety beam and upper and lower pedestrian barriers having horizontal railings and vertical legs. The vertical legs are slidable within openings at opposite ends of the AGV safety beam. The vertical legs of the upper pedestrian barrier are longer than those of the lower pedestrian barrier. The AGV safety beam can be moved vertically between a lower position where the AGV safety beam is substantially adjacent a floor of the parking garage and an upper position where the AGV safety beam is elevated from the floor. The horizontal railings of the pedestrian barriers are parallel to and spaced above the AGV safety beam in the lower position. However, the horizontal railings abut the AGV safety beam in the upper position.
DRIVE DEVICE FOR A DOOR
The invention relates to a drive device (1), essentially including a motor (26) and a gearbox (27, 83) and a control system (123), for the automation of a door, preferably a garage door, with a connection (120) to a force transmitting means (46) revolving within the drive track (4) and driven by means of the motor (26), wherein the gearbox (27, 83) includes a worm (29) and is equipped with two opposing motor connectors (57, 58), to which selectively a motor (26) or (28) or simultaneously both motors (26, 28) can be connected, wherein the motors (26, 28) act upon the common worm (79), the rotational movement thereof being transferred onto a worm wheel (100), which directly or indirectly acts like a gearbox onto the force transmitting means (46).
ENCLOSURE FOR A DRIVE UNIT OF A GARAGE DOOR DRIVE
The invention relates to an enclosure for a drive unit (1) for the automation of a garage door, wherein the drive unit (1) includes a connection to a drive track (4), which is provided with revolving force transmitting means (19), the enclosure as a two-part housing consists of a lower housing part (2) and an upper housing part (32, 54), wherein the lower housing part (2) includes a straight planar housing underside (37) the border areas (15) thereof being provided with roundings (8) and thereto adjoining essentially straight lateral sections (9), and in that the upper housing part (32, 54) is fitted onto the lateral sections (9), wherein the exterior contour includes transitions (11), which are configured as curved extensions, which merge into a straight housing back side (7), which is configured essentially parallel to the housing underside (37), wherein the surface content of the housing back side (7) is smaller than the surface content of the housing underside (37).
VEHICLE LIFTGATE AND GARAGE DOOR SYNCHRONIZATION
A vehicle system includes a controller configured to, in response to receiving a request to open a rear enclosure of a vehicle and data indicating that there is an object behind the vehicle, transmit one or more signals to open a door of a garage and inhibit opening the enclosure. The controller is also configured to, in response to the data indicating an absence of objects behind the vehicle, open the enclosure.
Garage door roller system
A garage door roller system for preventing damage to a vehicle or a garage door when the garage door is opening or closing. The garage door roller system generally includes a garage door arm which is connected at an upper end thereof to a carriage of a garage door opener. A first end of a connector is connected to the garage door arm, and a second end of the connector is connected to the garage door. One or more rollers are connected to a lower end of the garage door arm, with a portion of the rollers being positioned lower than the lower end of the garage door arm. The rollers are adapted to roll across an obstruction when the garage door is opening or closing to prevent damage to the obstruction as well as the garage door arm.
