Universal cap for male and female connectors
A cap is described for connection to a medical connector, the cap includes a housing having a top wall and sidewall forming a cavity, and an integrally formed protrusion. The protrusion includes an inner thread on an inner surface, the inner thread being sufficient to interlock with a mating feature of a female needleless connector. The inner surface of the protrusion defines a second cavity. The outer surface of the sidewall of the protrusion is tapered and adapted to engage a male luer connector in a press-fit connection. The second cavity configured to define a chamber to contain an absorbent material and disinfectant or antimicrobial agent. The cap may also include a peel seal to prevent the disinfectant or the antimicrobial agent from exiting the second cavity. An exterior sidewall surface of the housing may include a plurality of grip members.
Fluid line connector devices methods and systems
A frangible connector has a first side that forms a female luer when a second side is fractured at a predefined break line. The second side may be connected to a fluid circuit, for example, a source of medical treatment fluid such as dialysate.
Tubular coupling
A tubular coupling comprising a first connector comprising a body defining a first passageway portion and a valve area, the valve area comprising a first volume adjacent to an end of the first passageway portion; and a second volume in fluid communication with the first volume; and a first valve disposed in the first volume of the valve area; and a second connector adapted to receive at least a portion of the first connector, the second connector comprising: a body defining a second passageway portion and a valve area, the valve area comprising: a first volume adjacent to an end of the second passageway portion; and a second volume in fluid communication with the first volume; and a second valve disposed in the first volume of the valve area.
COUPLING DEVICE FOR MEDICAL TUBING
A coupling device that can removably couple medical tubing with a mating connector is disclosed and can include a housing and an inner body movable to different orientations, where an orientation is configured to resist separation of the coupling device and mating connector, and another orientation is configured such that resistance to separation from the mating connector is reduced, where any of the housing and the inner body can be moved relative to each other, and where the coupling device can permit separation of the coupling device and mating connector when a portion of the coupling device is moved, biased, and/or flexed when the coupling device and the mating connector are moved in directions away from each other, and where the coupling device can be re-coupled with a mating connector after separation of the coupling device and the mating connector.
FLUID LINE CONNECTOR DEVICE
A one-piece fluid line connector for connecting a fluid feed line to a fluid container includes a main body having a male luer lock fitting, and a cap coupled to the main body by a living hinge. The living hinge is configured such that the cap is moveable to an aligned position in which the cap is aligned with a central axis of the male luer lock fitting of the main body. The cap includes a through-hole configured such that, in the aligned position, the shape of the through-hole permits a correspondingly-shaped female luer lock fitting to pass therethrough and engage the male luer lock fitting.
Connector assembly for connecting medical lines to each other
A connector assembly for connecting medical lines (3, 4) to each other comprises a first connector (1) having an insertion shaft (12), and a second connector (2) having an insertion opening (22). For connecting the first connector (1) and the second connector (2) to each other, the insertion shaft (12) of the first connector (1) is insertable along an insertion direction (I) into the insertion opening (22) of the second connector (2). For releasing the first connector (1) and the second connector (2) from each other, the insertion shaft (12) of the first connector (1) is removable from the insertion opening (22) of the second connector (2). The first connector (1) comprises an elastic member (14) arranged on the insertion shaft (12), wherein the elastic member (14) comprises an abutment portion (141) abutting a surface (121) of the insertion shaft (12) and being displaceable along the insertion direction (I) relative to the surface (121) of the insertion shaft (12) upon releasing the first connector (1) and the second connector (2) from each other. In this way a connector assembly is provided which, in an easy way, allows for the cleaning of at least the first connector.
Luer to luer tissue morselizer
A morselizer comprising (a) a hollow cylindrical structure with an inner wall and an outer wall and comprising a first end section, a second end section, and a center section extending axially between the first end section and the second end section providing a substantially axial liquid pathway therein; (b) wherein each end section comprises a axially and radially hollow luer fitting that is attachable to a structure with a complementarily sized luer fitting; and (c) one or more blades extending transversally across the inner diameter of the center section wherein (i) each blade is comprised of a plurality of ends, including a posterior end secured to at least the center wall section inner wall at a center section inner wall first position and an anterior end proximal a center section inner wall second position opposite the center section inner wall first position, with a gap positioned between the blade anterior end and the center section inner wall second position, and (ii) at least two ends comprise cutting ends.
ABSORBENT CAP FOR ISOLATING AND DEACTIVATING HAZARDOUS FLUID RESIDUES ON MEDICAL CONNECTORS AND METHOD OF USE
A cap for medical connectors that absorbs deactivates and isolates hazardous fluid residues on the ends of medical connectors after administration of hazardous fluids.
Aseptic coupling devices
Formation of a sterile connection includes inserting a first aseptic coupling device into a second aseptic coupling device while a locking ring of the first aseptic device is in an indexed initial position, rotating the locking ring to a secured position in which a compressive force is created and in which a first membrane from the first aseptic coupling device and a second membrane from the second aseptic coupling device can removed thereby resulting in a first a first sealing member of the first aseptic coupling device sealing with a second sealing member of the second aseptic coupling device to form a sterile fluid passageway.
Enteral feeding device connector
An enteral feeding adapter suitable for use with a plurality of infusion sets includes an outer body component made of a flexible material and containing a feeding port for receipt of a distal connector of an infusion set. A rigid body insert is seated within an internal recess of the outer body component and defines a proximal section of the feeding port. The insert includes a first continuous radial seal barb that engages the flexible material of the outer body component, and a plurality of separate and circumferentially spaced radial second seal barbs distal to the first seal barb that engage the flexible material.
