The system may have an interface for configuring the dose calibrator, and a locking means for preventing access to the interface and reconfigurations of its parameters. Moreover, the dose calibrator may be in electronic communication with the computer of the system. Furthermore, the electronic communication can be embodied with an electronic cable having a breakaway connector. Also, the dose calibrator may be positioned on a mobile platform.

Stapling assembly comprising a firing lockout

A stapling assembly comprising a first jaw, a second jaw, an elongate channel configured to receive a staple cartridge, a firing member configured to perform a firing stroke, a biasing element, and a rotary drive shaft is disclosed. The staple cartridge comprises staple cavities, staples, staple drivers, and a sled. The firing member comprises a cutting edge, a first camming member, and a second camming member. The biasing element comprises a spring and is movable between an initial position and a displaced position. The rotary drive shaft is movable between a first position and a second position relative to the elongate channel. The rotary drive shaft is moved from the first position to the second position by the staple cartridge when the staple cartridge is inserted into the elongate channel and moves the biasing element to the displaced position against a distal biasing force of the spring.

Syringe and connector system

A connector assembly may include a body and a fluid fitting, the fluid fitting configured for releasably engaging a syringe nozzle, at least one deflectable locking arm connected to the body and radially deflectable relative to the distal end, the proximal end of the at least one deflectable locking arm configured for deflecting in a radial direction relative to the distal end to releasably engage the syringe nozzle, and at least one locking element disposed on the at least one deflectable locking arm, the at least one locking element movable with movement of the at least one deflectable locking arm between a first position where the at least one locking element is released from an engagement portion of the syringe nozzle and a second position where the at least one locking element is engaged with the engagement portion of the syringe nozzle.

A breakaway medical tubing connector and method for joining two sections of medical tubing includes a pump side member and a patient side member positioned axially opposite from the pump side member. The patient side member has a first channel disposed within the pump side member and a first valve disposed within the first channel. The pump side member has a second channel disposed within the patient side member and a second valve disposed within the second channel. The first valve may be an active valve and the second valve may be a passive valve. A securing bar may be disposed on the pump side member and a securing arm may be disposed on the patient side member for providing a detachable coupling of the two members.

COUPLING MECHANISMS FOR MEDICAL DEVICES
20210228858 · 2021-07-29 ·

Apparatus and systems are disclosed that incorporate coupling mechanisms to enable coupling of two mating member such as medical devices such as introducers, sheaths, dilators. More specifically, the disclosure relates to releasable coupling mechanisms, to allow for releasable coupling of two medical devices such as a dilator and a sheath so the devices can be maneuvered and/or manipulated together for example during a part of a medical procedure.

Surgical instrument system including replaceable end effectors

A surgical instrument system that includes a housing and a rotatable drive shaft, a motor operably coupled to the drive shaft, and a plurality of replaceable end effectors that can be connected to the housing. Each replaceable end effector includes a drive screw that is turned a fixed number of revolutions by the motor-driven rotatable drive shaft when the end effector is connected to the housing. Each end effector further comprises a firing member operably coupled with the drive screw of the end effector. The drive screw is configured to displace the firing member over a firing length as a result of the fixed number of revolutions. In certain embodiments, each replaceable end effector can include a drive screw with a thread pitch set to the firing length divided by the fixed number of revolutions.
