INTELLIGENT AUTOCLOSE DOOR
The present invention concerns an auto-close door for closing an area (3) at least partially defined by a frame, said auto-close door comprising: A) A motorized driving mechanism (10) suitable for moving a leading edge (1L) of a shutter (1) in a first direction (a) to close said area defined within said frame and in a second direction (β) to open said area; B) Wave detection cells (5) suitable for detecting the presence of an obstacle within the area defined by the frame; and/or C) In addition or alternatively, an impact detector (6) suitable for detecting an impacting event with a leading edge of the shutter, D) A processing unit (CPU) programmed to carry out the following operations: a) Upon opening the area a first time by moving the leading edge of the shutter in said second direction (β), maintain the area open for an opening time (t1), after which b) close the shutter, c) Record whether an obstacle and/or an impacting event is detected by the wave detector or the impact detector, upon closing the shutter; d) Count the number (n), of obstacles and/or impacting events detected during a number (N), of repetitions of the cycle defined by steps (a) to (c), and if n/N>v.sub.ref,1, wherein, v.sub.ref,1, is a first control ratio, then the opening time (t1), is prolonged to a time, t2=t1+Δt2, wherein Δt2>0; (e) Repeat steps (a) to (d) with the values t1 or t2 determined in step (d).
INTELLIGENT SENSING EDGE AND CONTROL SYSTEM
A sensing edge is made in segments that can be used to determine at which point along the edge an obstruction occurred. Data collected can be used to determine a point in a process that the fault occurred by addressing each segment individually or as a whole. A programmable controller can be operatively coupled to the sensing edge, and can include logic to control the door and/or other equipment using data collected from the sensing edge.
RETRACTABLE PRIVACY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A retractable privacy system for roll-up walls and doors is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a retractable privacy system includes one or more drums rotated by one or more motors to draw in or let out one or more flexible sheets from the drum. Multiple motors and drums may work in synchronization to achieve a desired result. In certain embodiments, various inputs are used to automatically open or close roll-up walls and doors. In other embodiments, the retractable privacy system interfaces with a thermostat or security system to achieve a desired result.
RETRACTABLE COVERING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A retractable privacy system for is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a retractable privacy system includes a drums rotated by one or more motors to draw-in or let-out a flexible sheet from a drum. Multiple motors may work in synchronization to achieve a desired result. In certain embodiments, various inputs are used to automatically open or close privacy sheets. In other embodiments, the retractable privacy system interfaces with a thermostat or security system to achieve a desired result.
System and method for safety management in roll-up doors
A safety curtain and system includes multiple light emitters and multiple light receivers to detect traffic approaching a doorway. The safety curtain my include pairs of multiple light emitters and receivers positioned on both sides of a passageway (doorway) so as to detect approaching traffic. The multiple light emitters and light receivers may detect a height of an approaching traffic (e.g., person or vehicle) and initiate warning lights of a possible door closing. The detected approach of traffic may cause the door to be stopped, reversed or slow down. The system may include a computer to monitor the signals from the receivers and may control the motion of the door.
OPTOELECTRONIC COMPONENT
An optoelectronic component includes a carrier, and a light source arranged on a surface of the carrier, said light source including at least one luminous surface formed by at least one light-emitting diode, wherein a transparent converter-free spacer is arranged on the luminous surface such that a distance is formed between the luminous surface and a spacer surface of the spacer facing away from the luminous surface, and wherein the light source is potted by a potting compound such that the spacer surface is formed extending flush with a potting compound surface facing away from the surface of the carrier and a surface formed by a spacer surface and the potting compound surface is plane.
MODULAR ENCLOSURE
The enclosure comprises: a partition (1) of panels (2) provided with longitudinal grooves (3) and a space for mounting a door (6); and a door (6) comprising: an upper box (7); and two vertical posts (9) with vertical guides (30) for moving a closing element (10), in addition to longitudinal channels (15) defining passages, with the longitudinal grooves (3), for housing fastening elements (16, 17) that can be vertically moved between a position wherein the door (6) is held and a position wherein the door (6) is released. The door comprises means for ensuring peripheral tightness in the closed position.
Obstacle and pulling detection in a clutch based roller shade
A motorized shade comprising a roller tube, a shade material connected to the roller tube, and a motor drive unit operably connected to the roller tube. The motor drive unit comprises a motor adapted to create torque to rotate the roller tube to lower or raise the shade material and a force sensor positioned at a point along the motor drive unit that resists the torque created by the motor resulting in a reaction force that is detected by the force sensor. The motor drive unit further comprises a motor control module adapted to receive sensor readings from the force sensor and control the motor in response to detecting an abrupt change in the reaction force using the received sensor readings to enable shade control via pulling of the shade material as well as or alternatively obstacle detection to minimize damage to the roller shade and users.
