Roofing and Wall Systems and Batten-Equipped, Foil-Laminated, Internally Drainable Insulation Panels for Same
20210131094 · 2021-05-06 ·

Insulation panels for wall construction and roofing installation are characterized by inlaid battens in outer faces thereof by which multiple layers of insulation can be installed without thermal bridging. Second and any subsequent layers are each fastened only to the battens of the immediately underlying layer, without fully penetrating therethrough to the roof deck, building wrap or other substrate. Laminated facers of perforated character allow migration of moisture to and from a foam core of the panel, while internal channels and internal slots beneath the facer enable drainage/drying of excess moisture without material degradation of the inlaid battens. Additional drainage space within each layer is provided at inter-panel connections, where tongue and groove connections are configured to leave such drainage space open between the tongue and groove.

MODULAR CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF

A modular construction system, including, first and second walls, each having first and second broad surfaces. Each wall includes throughgoing connector-receiving bores. The modular construction system further includes a connector including a longitudinal body portion arranged along a longitudinal axis and having a first width. A head portion of the longitudinal body portion includes a base surface having a second width in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis. A pair of protrusions extend outwardly from the longitudinal body portion and are disposed between the base surface and a tail end of the longitudinal body portion. The protrusions include an engagement surface facing toward the base surface and having a third width, the third width being greater than the first width.

A method for producing a constructions having a structural component (100), in particular a wall, a ceiling or the like, formed by a plurality of interconnected wooden panels (1, 2, 3). The wooden panels (1, 2, 3) are connected to one another to produce a structural component (100) which is formed from at least two wooden panels (1, 2, 3).

PPVC CONNECTOR
20210207364 · 2021-07-08 ·

A PPVC connector is provided for joining a first PPVC (Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction) module and a second PPVC module. The PPVC connector is adopted for coupling or joining a first PPVC module and a second PPVC module together, comprising a first anchor for attaching to the first PPVC module; a second anchor for attaching to the second PPVC module; and a frame for coupling the first anchor and the second anchor together. The first anchor, the second anchor, the frame or a combination of any of these components comprise a plate having at least one side for attaching to one of the PPVC Module. Due to confinement effect, the first module and the second module are prevented from detachment so as to bind the first PPVC module and the second PPVC module together permanently to form a monolithic assemble.

Ground beam and t-shaped or x-shaped member for a modular constructed building and a building incorporating same
11053681 · 2021-07-06 ·

A modular constructed building includes a plurality of ground beams and a plurality of wall panels, each ground beam has a pair of surfaces and a longitudinally extending male projection interspaced between the pair of surfaces. The extending male projection is formed as a flat plate and at least able to be partially inserted into a wall panel with each of the wall panels being secured to a respective ground beam, so that each wall panel, at an end opposite the ground beam, has a lateral groove for accepting a protrusion for a T-shaped member or an X-shaped member, and an upper end of each of the wall panels is retained together through each of the wall panels and either a T-shaped member or an X-shaped member.

Wall panel with corner connector block

A wall panel includes hollow connector blocks in its lower corners, reinforced with anchor pins embedded in cementitious material of the panel. The connector blocks have holes for connecting adjacent wall panels together and for connecting the wall panels to the floor. Connectors are inserted via exposed apertures in the connector blocks that provide access to their hollow interiors. The apertures can be covered when the panels are fastened in place.

System and method for assembling structural insulated panels

A system for assembling structural insulated panels (SIPs) includes a set of splines that snugly insert into channels along the top, bottom and side edges of each SIP. Vertical alignment splines are used to align and connect adjacent SIPs and horizontal plate splines are used to cap edge channels of a SIP such that the edges of the SIP can securely rest on, support or be affixed to a foundation or other structural member. The system components facilitate fast and precise alignment, interconnection and installation of SIPs in order to form walls, floors, roofs or foundation systems.

Building or structural panels may be joined, such as to form walls or floors. The panels may be connected in various orientations via one or more connectors. The connectors may mount to anchors associated with the panels. The panels may have outer skins located over an expanded core comprising a matrix of supporting elongate members and voids or openings, with the anchors located at edges of the panels.

Construction system

A construction system for a wall or floor or roof uses a set of studs having panel engagement features protruding from opposed edges of the stud. Panel elements having apertures receive these features so that they protrude through the panel element apertures. Retainers engage the panel engagement features and press against an outside surface of a panel element and towards the studs with a compression force to form a compression joint. There may be rails to form a mesh with the studs, and the panel elements may not be wide enough to abut each other, narrow panel elements providing sufficient structural strength in combination with the compression joints and the studs.
