The sound damping wallboard includes a gypsum layer having a gypsum layer inner surface and a gypsum layer outer surface, a first sound damping layer disposed at the gypsum layer inner surface and having a first sound damping layer inner surface opposite the gypsum layer inner surface, a first encasing layer disposed at the gypsum layer outer surface, a second encasing layer disposed at the first sound damping layer inner surface, and a second sound damping layer disposed at the second encasing layer opposite the first sound damping layer inner surface.
PANEL COATING SYSTEM
A panel coating system for simple and efficient installation of a removably attachable layer to a panel.
Micro-perforated glass laminates and methods of making the same
Some embodiments of present disclosure are directed to a micro-perforated glass or glass-ceramics laminate, comprising a first substrate laminated to a second substrate by a first polymer interlayer, wherein the first and the second substrates are independently selected from glass or glass-ceramics, and a plurality of micro-perforations, each of the plurality of micro-perforations extending through the first substrate, the first polymer interlayer, and the second substrate. Some embodiments are directed to methods of forming such micro-perforated glass or glass-ceramics laminates.
MODULAR ACOUSTIC STRUCTURE
A modular acoustic structure includes a number of joined acoustic wall panels and acoustic ceiling tiles positioned atop the joined acoustic wall panels. The joined acoustic wall panels define a doorless aperture in the modular acoustic structure, an internal chamber, and a straight acoustic hallway connecting the doorless aperture and the internal chamber via an internal aperture. The straight acoustic hallway absorbs soundwaves travelling between the doorless aperture and the interior chamber. The acoustic wall and/or ceiling panels may include an acoustic absorptive surface and an acoustic reflective surface. The acoustic properties of the interior chamber and/or the straight acoustic hallway may be altered or tuned by changing which of the surfaces faces an interior of the modular acoustic structure. The size of the interior chamber and/or the modular acoustic structure may be adjustable by adding and/or removing acoustic wall and/or ceiling panels.
Acoustic panels and methods for preparing them
The disclosure relates to acoustic panels and methods for preparing them. The disclosure relates more particularly to panels having a nonwoven facing and to methods for making such panels. A method for preparing an acoustic panel comprises providing a base structure. The base structure has one or more edges, an outward major surface having total area, and an inward major surface opposing the outward major surface. The base structure has a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of at least about 0.3. The method includes disposing directly against the outward major surface of the base structure a sprayable mixture comprising a plurality of fibers, one or more binders, and a dispersive medium. The method includes drying the disposed mixture to provide a facing layer disposed on the outward major surface of the base structure, the facing layer having an exterior major surface opposing the outward major surface of the base structure.
Sound Disturbance Inhibition System
A partial enclosure for inhibiting sound passing into and out of the partial enclosure includes an absorber-barrier or an absorber-barrier-absorber, each made from sound absorbing material and sound barrier material and arranged to form the partial enclosure. The enclosure also includes an adaptive frequency matched sound-masking system. The absorber-barrier or absorbed-barrier-absorber is positioned to block or inhibit unwanted sound from various positions of a source of the unwanted sound, or motion of the source of the unwanted sound. The adaptive frequency matched sound-masking system includes a sound generating device arranged on or in the partial enclosure to emit anti-noise signal to cancel or inhibit the unwanted sound.
Sound-absorbing construction component having extinguishing profiles and sound protection wall
The invention relates to a sound-absorbing construction component, which is suitable inter alia for use outdoors. The construction element comprises a sound-absorbing absorber layer having a sound entry surface and a plurality of extinguishing profiles fully enclosed in the absorber layer and arranged at a distance from one another. The extinguishing profile consists of a sound-reflecting material and has a profile inner space, which has one open side facing away from the sound entry surface. The extinguishing profile preferably comprises at least one inlet surface having numerous sound inlet openings and at least one closed reflection surface connecting to the inlet surface, wherein the reflection surface and the open side of the extinguishing profile are at a greater distance from the sound entry surface than the inlet surface. The profile inner space is hollow or completely or partially filled with the material of the absorber layer. The invention also relates to a sound protection wall having a backing layer on which numerous sound-absorbing construction components are arranged.
Roof shell having an acoustic insulation layer
A motor vehicle roof shell having a rigid composite component having an inner side facing a vehicle interior, and an acoustic insulation layer disposed on the inner side of the composite component. The panel-type rigid composite component has at least one tray-like recess on its inner side, said recess being filled with an open-pored foam material which forms the acoustic insulation layer and whose surface is flush with a surface of the composite component surrounding the recess. A motor vehicle roof shell motor vehicle having a panel-type rigid composite component having an inner side, which faces the vehicle interior, and an acoustic insulation layer disposed on the inner side of the composite component, wherein the acoustic insulation layer is formed by at least one rigid-foam or semi-rigid-foam plate which is bonded to the inner side of the composite component and compressed that its volume is reduced compared to preassembly state.
