Infusion pump latch mechanism and associated free-flow protection device
An infusion pump apparatus includes a length of resilient tubing removably loadable in an infusion pump having a housing, a pumping mechanism, and a pump door. A latch member is pivotally mounted to the pump door and cooperates with a latch pin fixed on pump housing. A free-flow protection device is biased to pinch the tubing closed to stop fluid flow. The latch member has a first range of pivotal motion in a latching direction for causing the latch member to engage with the latch pin to secure the door in a closed position and a second range of pivotal motion in the latching direction for causing the latch member to actuate the free-flow protection device to unpinch the tubing and allow flow. The latch member pivots through at least a portion of the first range of pivotal motion before beginning to pivot through the second range of pivotal motion.

Medical Fluid Line Connection Devices
A medical fluid line connector includes a body defining a central opening extending therethrough, a first projection extending from a first portion of the body, and a second projection extending from a second portion of the body, the second projection being circumferentially and axially offset from the first projection. The first portion of the body and second portion of the body are configured to separate from one another in response to a threshold amount of force being applied to the first projection and the second projection to rotate the first portion of the body and second portion of the body relative to one another.

System and method for detecting air embolisms in lines for hemodynamic monitoring
A system and method are provided for detecting air embolisms in lines for hemodynamic monitoring. In use, using a first sensor, one or more gas bubbles are detected within a first line for hemodynamic monitoring. In response to the detecting, a first clamp attached to the first line for hemodynamic monitoring is contracted.
Precision roller clamp
A roller clamp assembly for adjusting the fluid flow rate in a connector tube of an infusion set is provided. The roller clamp assembly includes a housing to receive the connector tube, a plate slideably engaged with the housing and configured to rapidly compress the connector tube to provide a coarse fluid flow adjustment, and a roller wheel moveable engaged with the housing and configured to provide a gradual fluid flow adjustment. The plate may be a slide plate received by grooves in an exterior wall of the housing and that moves orthogonally to the connector tube, or the plate may be a shim plate that moves along an interior wall of the housing in parallel to the connector tube. Infusion sets and methods of adjusting fluid flow rates are also provided.

Symmetric Tubing Clamps
This disclosure relates to symmetric tubing clamps for blood treatment systems and related systems and methods. In some aspects, a tubing clamp includes a resilient body that has symmetry with respect to a first plane with a normal along a longitudinal axis of the resilient body, the resilient body comprising a sidewall defining an opening such that a tubing is arrangeable through the opening along the longitudinal axis of the resilient body; first and second snap-fit features configured to engage with each other when the resilient body is compressed along a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis; and a protrusion configured to constrict the tubing when the resilient body is compressed along the direction transverse to the longitudinal axis.
