SNAP-TOGETHER STANDOFFS FOR RESTORING, REPAIRING, REINFORCING, PROTECTING, INSULATING AND/OR CLADDING STRUCTURES
20230243167 · 2023-08-03 ·

A method covers at least a portion of a surface of an existing structure with a repair structure. The method comprises: providing a standoff, the standoff elongated in a longitudinal direction and operable from an open configuration to a closed configuration; while the standoff is in the open configuration, mounting the standoff to the existing structure, such that the standoff projects outwardly away from the surface of the existing structure; closing the standoff to the closed configuration, the closing of the standoff forming a standoff connector; and coupling a cladding panel to the standoff by engaging the panel with the standoff connector at a location spaced outwardly apart from the surface of the existing structure by a void.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND PANELS FOR CUSTOMIZED RETROFIT OF A BUILDING EXTERIOR

Methods, systems, and panels for retrofitting an existing exterior of a building. In one example, the method may include: (a) obtaining data about an exterior geometry of the existing exterior; (b) using the obtained data, defining a custom retrofit panel system for the exterior geometry; and (c) constructing the custom retrofit panel system including a plurality of panels, in which constructing a panel includes: (i) forming a panel frame by additive manufacturing, the panel frame defining interstitial spaces; (ii) at least partially filling the interstitial spaces with at least one filler; and (iii) in which the constructed panel includes a building facing surface configured to mate with the exterior geometry of the existing exterior.

Mounting clip assembly providing thermal barrier
11814848 · 2023-11-14 · ·

A mounting clip assembly for attaching a girt to a substrate, includes a bracket and isolator pad. The bracket includes a substrate fastening plate for mounting the bracket to a building substrate, and a girt fastening plate protruding orthogonally outward from a first face of the substrate fastening plate. The girt fastening plate has a top edge, and a bottom edge that extends at an upward angle from the substrate fastening plate, such that the vertical fastening plate is substantially trapezoidal. A girt may be fastened to the mounting clip assembly in a first fastening region. A cavity is formed in the girt fastening plate at a location between the substrate fastening plate and the fastening region to reduce thermal conductance between the fastening region and the substrate fastening plate. The cavity is reinforced by thickening material around a periphery of the cavity. The thermal isolator pad is mountable between a second face of the substrate fastening plate and the substrate.

System for mounting wall panels onto a wall or floor slabs

The disclosed invention provides a system and method of installing wall panels unto an existing wall. The primary object of the disclosed system is to enable mounting of wall panels or windows on an erected latticework. Such latticework is deployed on exteriors of existing walls or is mounted across floor slabs. The system is comprised of a plurality of parallel upright assemblies stretching from slab of one floor to slab of the next floor. Crossmembers fastened to the parallel upright assemblies serve as mounting points for wall or window paneling.

FACADE CLADDING FASTENING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FASTENING FACADE AND ADJUSTING MEMBER

A panel (assembly) having an inner panel member (sheet) and an outer panel member (sheet), with the member being secured to the member so that the member applies an outward force to the first member.

Modular wall covering system

A modular wall overlay system for installation on a support surface includes a frame; and a cover securely retained on the frame by a tensioning system whereby the cover is free of direct attachment to the frame but rather is retained under tension on the frame by the tensioning system. The frame includes a plurality of frame pieces and a plurality of corner brackets. The frame pieces are directly coupled to respective corner brackets but are free of direct coupling to one another.

Overlay cover and tensioning mechanism for a modular wall overlay system

A modular wall overlay system for installation on a support surface includes a frame; a cover that is securely, yet detachably, retained on and along a front face of the frame by a tensioning mechanism that is configured to tension the cover; and elastic corner inserts that are disposed in corners of the frame and include curved outer surfaces that are configured to permit the cover to be stretched over the elastic corner inserts creating radiused corners and preventing tearing of the cover in corners thereof when the cover is tensioned by the tensioning mechanism.
