OPENING-CLOSING BODY CONTROLLER
An opening-closing body controller includes a motor body that opens and closes an open-close body, a control unit that controls and drives the motor body, and an inner temperature detector that detects an inner temperature of the motor body. The control unit performs an entrapment detection process in a section excluding a mask section that is set from a fully closed position of the open-close body to a preset position in an opening direction of the open-close body. The control unit corrects the mask section in accordance with the inner temperature of the motor body detected by the inner temperature detector.
Device for opening and closing opening/closing body
When it is determined that there is an individual abnormality, in which an individual drive section is in an abnormal state, while the opening/closing body is being moved by the drive sections or the opening/closing body is stopped in an open state, the opening/closing body operation device performs a restriction control on the drive section with the individual abnormality, the restriction control restricting the movement of the opening/closing body in the closing direction. The opening/closing body operation device makes a comparison of the driving state between the drive section subjected to restriction control and another drive section, and when it is determined that the drive sections are normal with respect to each other, the opening/closing body operation device deems the opening/closing body to be in a normal state and disengages the restriction control.
Method and system for detecting an obstruction of a passenger door
A method of detecting an obstruction of a passenger door on a public transit vehicle comprising the steps of: recording the profile of the actuator (motor) current vs. door position following initiation of an opening or closing of the door; based on the recorded profile of actuator current vs. door position acceptable increase in motor current for one or more discrete positions following initiation of opening or closing the door indicative of no obstruction; and comparing an instant current profile to the acceptable increase and indicating a potential door obstruction if the current exceeds the acceptable increase.
DOOR MONITORING SYSTEM
A door assembly includes a first door skin and a second door skin spaced apart from the first door skin. The assembly also includes an energy sensor generating an energy signature signal and a memory storing a door component operating signature. A controller is coupled to the accelerometer and forms a comparison of the energy signature signal to the door component operating signature and generates a door component operation status signal in response to the comparison.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A DRIVE ARRANGEMENT FOR A FLAP OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
The disclosure relates to a method for controlling a drive arrangement for a flap of a motor vehicle by a control arrangement, wherein the drive arrangement comprises a first electric drive and a second electric drive that are coupled in each case to the flap in terms of providing a drive, wherein in a determining routine current values that occur during the motorized adjustment of the flap are determined for the drives, wherein in an anti-trap protection routine the determined current values of the two drives are monitored to establish if at least one a predetermined trapping event criterion exists that represents a trapping event and wherein in the event that a trapping event criterion has occurred a trapping event routine is performed. It is proposed that a trapping event criterion is defined by virtue of the fact that a predetermined relationship of the current value of the first drive to the current value of the second drive exceeds or is below a trapping event threshold.
CONTROLLING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE DOORS
A controlling apparatus for vehicle doors, which control is based on the surrounding circumstances of the vehicle. The controlling apparatus includes: a sensing module sensing at least one object surrounding the vehicle and collecting information thereof; a processing unit connected to the sensing module, the processing unit receiving and analyzing the information to determine if a warming flag should be issued based on the status of the object, and a programmable damper module connected to the processing unit and imposing a resistance on the vehicle doors based on the warming flag to control the opening of the vehicle doors.
Power swing door actuator with articulating linkage mechanism
A power swing door actuator for moving a passenger swing door relative to a body portion of a motor vehicle. The power swing door actuator includes a housing rigidly fixed to the swing door, a motor mounted to the housing, a connector link having a first end pivotably coupled to the vehicle body portion and a second end pivotably coupled to a drive nut of a spindle drive mechanism. A leadscrew of the spindle drive mechanism is rotatably driven by the motor for causing relative translational movement between the drive nut and the leadscrew which, in turn, results in pivoting movement of the connector link while the vehicle door swings between open and closed positions in response to selective actuation of the motor.
CONCEALED ELECTRICAL DOOR OPERATOR
A door assembly includes a first door skin, a second door skin spaced apart from the first door skin and a door operator disposed between the first door skin and the second door skin. An arm extends from the door operator. The door operator includes a motor moving the arm to move the door between a closed position and an open position and between the open position and the closed position. A current sensor generates a current signal corresponding to the current to the motor. A position sensor in communication with the door arm generates a position signal corresponding to the position of the door relative to the frame. A controller communicates with the sensor and the motor. The controller controls a motor current to the motor in response to the current signal and the position signal.
