A non-ventilator ET tube cap used to oxygenate a patient during an intubation procedure. The ET tube cap generally comprises an oxygen source connector configured to connect to an oxygen source via an oxygen tube. This provides oxygen to a patient via an ET tube while being intubated. The ET tube cap further includes an ET tube receiving aperture that is specifically arranged to engage an ET tube in a removable relationship prior to the ET tube connected to a ventilator while the ET tube is deployed in a patient. Optionally, the ET tube cap can comprise at least two pressure relief valves that open when pressure inside of the ET tube cap exceeds a predetermined pressure threshold to prevent harm to the patient that is being intubated.

The third wavelength and the fourth wavelength are selected as two wavelengths at each of which the extinction coefficient of the blood is a second value which is different from the first value.

MULTI-MODE RESPIRATORY THERAPY APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD

A respiratory therapy apparatus is operable to deliver multiple types of therapy to a patient. The apparatus includes a main housing and a nebulizer tray that selectively attaches to a bottom of the main housing. The apparatus also includes a filter housing unit having an antenna surrounding a pneumatic passage and a transponder chip coupled to the antenna. The main housing has also has an antenna that surrounds a respective pneumatic passage of a main outlet port of the apparatus. The main housing includes a reader that controls communication between the antennae. The main housing of the apparatus also has a pivotable hose support plate, a firmware upgrade port underneath part of the top wall of the housing, and a graphical user interface (GUI) that displays various user inputs for control of the apparatus and that displays various alert conditions that are detected.

NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY DEVICE WITH OXYGEN CONTROL

A system for negative pressure and hypoxic tissue therapy including a chemical pump assembly, a dressing to cover a tissue site, a plurality of hoses, and a cover layer to cover a portion of the dressing. Each hose is configured to fluidly connect the dressing to the assembly. Oxygen flows from the dressing to a reactor in the assembly where the oxygen is consumed by the reactor. The hoses have different cross-sectional areas and selectable lengths, and these can be selected to provide a desired amount of oxygen around the tissue site. The cover layer has less permeability to air that does the dressing, nd can be used to cover a portion of the dressing to inhibit the permeation of air through the dressing and thus provide the desired amount of oxygen around the tissue site.
