Adjustable dosing delivery and multi sectioned drug compartment
A device is provided for delivering a predetermined volume of at least one substance within a body cavity of a subject. The device contains a) a capsule for containing the predetermined volume of substances; b) a delivery end, having at least one orifice of diameter D, for placement in proximity to the body cavity; c) a valve mechanically connectable to the capsule, having at least two configurations: (i) an active configuration in which the valve enables delivery of the substances; and (ii) an inactive configuration, in which the valve prevents delivery of the substances from the capsule to the body cavity; and d) a fluid tight chamber configured to contain predetermined volume V.sub.gas of pressurized gas at a predetermined pressure, P.sub.gas. The capsule further contains at least one mixing mechanism that mixes the substances and the pressurized gas after the valve is reconfigured to the active configuration.
Medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device is presented having an elongated body having a longitudinal axis, a proximal end and a distal end that is provided with a distal surface. The distal surface is arranged and configured such that the elongated body of the medicament delivery device can steadily stand on the distal surface.
Multi-Carrier Medicament Dispensers
The invention of the present disclosure relates to a medicament dispenser for dispensing medicament from a plurality of elongate form medicament carriers, the dispenser comprising a dispensing mechanism for dispensing the medicament held within the dispenser, wherein the dispensing mechanism is capable of independently advancing each medicament carrier held within the dispenser, the dispensing mechanism comprising a driver, a carrier engagement for each medicament carrier for individually advancing the medicament dose portions thereof, an advancer for each carrier engagement, a flow director capable of dispensing a medicament dose from a plurality of medicament carriers, and a cover for the medicament access body operating as a component of the dispenser actuation mechanism.
DISSOLVED C60 AND METHOD OF PRODUCING DISSOLVED C60
A method of administering C60 to a user includes combining C60 molecules with a limonene composition to form a C60 mixture, heating the C60 mixture to a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time period to dissolve the C60 molecules into the limonene composition to form a dissolved C60 mixture, and administering the dissolved C60 mixture to a nasal cavity of the user via nasal administration.
Compliance-assisting module for an inhaler
An inhaler includes a mouthpiece cover, a pressure sensor, a first indicator and a second indicator. The first indicator may be configured to indicate based on a state of the cover, and the second indicator may be configured to indicate based on an output of the pressure sensor. For example, when the mouthpiece cover opens, the first indicator may illuminate and a dose of medication may be transferred from a reservoir to a dosing cup. The second indicator may illuminate if an amount of inhaled medication reaches a predetermined threshold for successful inhalation.
Electronic module for an inhaler and inhaler assembly comprising the electronic module
An electronic module for an inhaler includes a printed circuit board and electronic components configured to detect at least a status and/or at least a working parameter of the inhaler when the electronic module is attached to the inhaler. A battery is permanently joined to the printed circuit board. A first terminal and a second terminal are electrically connectable one to the other through a main switch to close a circuit between the battery and the electronic components. In a rest configuration, the first and second terminals are electrically separated by the main switch. In a work configuration, the first terminal and the second terminal are electrically connected one to the other through the main switch.
Nasal delivery device with safety rod
The present disclosure provides a nasal delivery device with a device body that includes a trigger end and an outlet end. The nasal delivery device also includes a trigger assembly coupled to the trigger end of the device body, a drug container supported by the device body, and a spring-loaded activator assembly supported by the device body and disposed between the trigger assembly and the drug container.
DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A PULVERULENT PRODUCT
A fluid dispensing device having an air expulsion system (200) with a pump (200) with an external body (210) containing a pump body (220; 270) with a pumping chamber (225) and a piston rod (230). The pump body has a proximal hollow body and a distal hollow body fixed to one another. The rod has a proximal rod part (231), a central rod part (232) and a distal rod part (233), the outside diameter of the central rod part (232) greater than the diameters of the other two. The central rod part supports a first seal (237) and a second seal (236), and the distal rod part supports a third seal (235). The proximal rod part has a central passage (234) extending beyond the first seal and opens laterally to the outside between the first and second seals. The distal hollow body contains a spring.
Dry powder drug delivery system and methods
A pulmonary drug delivery system is disclosed, including a breath-powered, dry powder inhaler, with or without a cartridge for delivering a dry powder formulation. The inhaler and cartridge can be provided with a drug delivery formulation comprising, for example, a diketopiperazine and an active ingredient, including, small organic molecules, peptides and proteins, including, hormones such as insulin and glucagon-like peptide 1 for the treatment of disease and disorders, for example, diseases and disorders, including endocrine disease such as diabetes and/or obesity.
