Vasculature navigation systems and methods
A vasculature navigation system may include a dilator having a proximal end and a distal end located opposite the proximal end, the dilator comprising a guidewire lumen extending between the proximal end and the distal end, the dilator defining a proximal portion and a distal portion located opposite the proximal portion. In some embodiments, the vasculature navigation system also includes an access port located at the proximal end of the dilator, a distal port located at the distal end of the dilator, and a hemostasis valve coupled to the proximal portion of the dilator. The hemostasis valve may be configured to control fluid flow between the proximal portion and the distal portion. In some embodiments, a flush port is coupled to the proximal portion of the dilator and located distal to the hemostasis valve, and the flush port is coupled to a fluid supply source.
Coated urinary catheter or ureteral stent and method
A coated urinary catheter or urinary stent device includes a urinary catheter or stent which, in a deployed position, includes or defines a protective surface area and a protected surface area and a coating upon at least a portion of the protective surface area. The coating includes a lubricant and an antimicrobial and/or pH buffering material. The device is configured such that, upon application of negative pressure to the catheter or stent, tissue of a urinary tract of a patient conforms or collapses onto the protective surface area and is thereby prevented or inhibited from occluding one or more protected drainage holes, ports or perforations of the catheter or stent.
Injection spring for aged prefilled syringe and auto injector
A method of adapting an auto injector configured to actuate a prefilled syringe, the auto injector having a biasing member having a spring constant, the prefilled syringe being filled with a volume of therapeutic fluid, the prefilled syringe including a barrel, stopper, and a needle, the stopper having a path of travel, the biasing member arranged to move the stopper along the path of travel. An auto injector having an injection spring adapted to an aged prefilled syringe.
Seal forming portion, pad and cushion for a patient interface and method of manufacturing
It is discloses a patient interface comprising a seal forming portion, a pad, and a cushion. The seal forming portion may comprise a base surface and a plurality of fibers fixed to and extending away from said base surface for contacting a patient's skin. The cushion may comprise at least along a portion of the circumference a first structure having an elongate section joined with at least one end section oriented substantially perpendicular or at an angle to the elongate section. A first end A of the elongate section may be connected or connectable to a frame member. The end section may be provided at an opposing second end B of the elongate section. The pad may comprise a resilient foam material layer with the seal forming portion. The pad may be adapted to be connected to the cushion.
DRUG ELUTING GUIDE WIRE
A drug eluting guide wire comprises a body aperture having low friction characteristics. The guide wire includes an effective leading end segment that is formed along its outer surface with a rapid action body aperture drug eluting agent serving as a vasilodating substance. The low friction characteristics are achieved by the leading end segment of the wire being covered with a low friction lubricating substance such as hydrogel that is loaded with a drug eluting substance in the form of isoprenaline in constituting the segment. Isoprenaline serves a constricted body aperture rapid action relaxing function in amongst others, or at least the case of the guide wire, is used to access a kidney along a ureter in response to temporarily paralyzing the smooth muscles of the ureteric wall resulting in widening of the lumen of the ureter.
FOLEY CATHETER AND CORRESPONDING TRAY PACKAGING SYSTEM
A medical procedure kit includes a first tray. A second tray situates atop the first tray. The second tray includes preformed compartments configured to receive and house a plurality of medical implements. A Foley catheter positioned within a Foley catheter compartment of the plurality of preformed compartments of the second tray. A drainage system stowed within an interior of the first tray. A third tray can be situated atop the second tray. The second tray can include a plurality of catheter retention devices. A planar substrate can be positioned beneath the first tray. A Foley catheter compartment can define a barrier wall extending across a majority of its length. A cutout in the second tray and another cutout in the first tray can be positioned at opposite ends of the kit. These features can be used alone or in combination, and many can even be applied to a single-layer tray.
Nasopharyngeal Airway Devices
A nasopharyngeal airway device includes an elongate body having a distal end and a proximal end. The elongate body has an outer surface defining one or more open channels extending along the elongate body. The nasopharyngeal airway device includes a securement component securely coupled to the elongate body. The securement component is configured to secure the nasopharyngeal airway device within a nostril of an individual.
COVERED CATHETHER
A covered catheter, including a catheter body coated with a lubricant to facilitate entry into tissue of a user, and a covering sheath, including a sheath body to cover at least a portion of the catheter body in an extended position, and expose the catheter body in a retracted position, a first end cap disposed on at least a portion of a first end of the sheath body to enclose the first end of the sheath body, and a second end cap disposed on at least a portion of a second end of the sheath body to enclose the second end of the sheath body.
Control method for treadmill
A treadmill may include two separate left and right belts rotating around two sets of rollers, four legs having an adjustable height via air suspension to customize an inclination of the treadmill, a thermoelectric assembly, a fragrance assembly having a rotating fragrance cartridge to emit various smells toward a user of the treadmill, a display on which exercise programs are played, and an attachment module having a dispensing tray on which treats are dispensed. A handle of the treadmill may have a sensor to sense a height and front-rear position, and a belt divider provided between the left and right belts may have position or proximity sensors to sense a left-right position. An inclination of the treadmill may be automatically adjusted according to positions detected by the sensors, and the fragrance assembly, attachment module, and inclination may be automatically operated in accordance with an exercise program played on the display.
INTRAVASCULAR BLOOD PUMP
