Reflux valve
A reflux valve includes a first supported portion that plugs a first opening when a valve body biased by a biasing member moves to one side in an axial direction, the first supported portion opens the first opening when the valve body moves to the other side in the axial direction against a biasing force of the biasing member due to negative pressure applied to a downstream side relative to an upstream side, the valve body includes a first hole extending from an end on the other side in the axial direction to one side in the axial direction, a valve body portion includes a second hole extending from an outer side in a radial direction and reaching the first hole, and the valve body portion includes a third hole at a different position from the second hole in the axial direction.
Oil separator for separating oil from aerosol in a combustion engine
An oil separator separates oil from aerosol in a combustion engine. The oil separator includes a housing having an inlet opening for the aerosol, an impeller which can be rotatably driven about a rotational axis, and which is adapted for generating an aerosol flow along an axial direction of the impeller and arranged in the housing, and an impact wall which is designed in such a way that a projection of the impeller oriented axially and downstream in the air flow impinges on the impact wall. At least one part of a projection of the impeller oriented axially and downstream in the air flow impinges on the inlet opening.
Crankcase ventilation system with a flow control device for on board diagnostics
Flow control devices herein have a housing defining a plurality of parallel conduits. The first conduit has a normally closed check valve defined to open under a first preselected pressure differential controlling flow through the first conduit in a first direction of flow. The second conduit has a normally neutral check valve defined to open under a second preselected pressure differential in a second direction of flow that is opposite the first direction of flow. The third conduit defines a restriction profile, i.e., has a restrictor, having a third preselected pressure differential. The flow control devices are included as part of an engine system, more specifically a crankcase ventilation breach detection system.
Abnormality determination apparatus for internal combustion engine
An abnormality determination apparatus for an internal combustion engine in which an intake passage upstream of a supercharger and a crankcase are connected by a breather line includes: an intake flow rate detection unit that detects an intake flow rate in the intake passage; and an abnormality determination unit that determines abnormality of the breather line. The abnormality determination unit accumulates a time for which a rotation second-order component of a fluctuation waveform of the intake flow rate is equal to or more than a threshold over a predetermined period of time and determines the abnormality of the breather line when the accumulated value is less than a predetermined accumulation threshold.
Ejector device and combination of a cylinder head cover and an ejector device
An ejector device having a base body that includes a suction chamber for sucking in a suction medium, a mixing channel for mixing a propelling medium with the suction medium, and a drive nozzle device for generating and directing a propelling medium jet along a jet direction from the suction chamber and into the mixing channel. The ejector device also includes a fastening device for fastening the base body of the ejector device to a suction channel. The fastening device also includes at least one of a translational locking device for avoiding a translational movement of the base body relative to the suction channel in a direction running parallel to a center axis of a connecting piece of the suction channel and a rotational locking device for preventing the base body from rotating relative to the suction channel.
Blow-by gas return device
A blow-by gas return device includes: a gas path which is configured to introduce a blow-by gas generated in a crankcase into an intake system through an inside of a head cover, a pressure control valve and a blow-by pipe; and an orifice provided to the gas path, the orifice mounted on a wall portion of an intake manifold on a cylinder head side. A passage for a blow-by gas is formed in the wall portion on the cylinder head side, and the orifice is formed on a joint pipe mounted on the passage for the blow-by gas for communicably connecting the blow-by pipe with the passage for the blow-by gas.
Fluid heating apparatus for engine
An engine fluid heating apparatus, preventing failure in heating fluid, is provided. A control device opens a sub switch during an initial opening period (“IOP”) after closing a main switch, and the control device closes the sub switch during an initial closing period (“ICP”) after the IOP. Circuit normality is displayed by turning on an indicator lamp when a heater feeding circuit is electrically conducted via a bypass electric circuit during the IOP. Heater feeding is displayed by turning off the indicator lamp when power is supplied to the electric heater via a trunk electric circuit during the ICP. Circuit abnormality is displayed by turning off the indicator lamp when the heater feeding circuit is not electrically conducted via the bypass electric circuit during the IOP, and the circuit abnormality display is held by keeping the indicator lamp off during the ICP immediately after the IOP.
Modular exhaust gas recirculation system
A convergent nozzle is in a mixer housing and in a flow path from an air inlet of the mixer to an outlet of the mixer. A convergent-divergent nozzle is in the mixer housing and includes an air-exhaust gas inlet in fluid communication to receive fluid flow from the convergent nozzle and from the interior of the exhaust gas housing. A first nozzle module is configured to be received in the mixer housing and, when received in the mixer housing, define at least a portion of the convergent nozzle or the convergent-divergent nozzle. A second nozzle module is configured to be received in the mixer housing separate from the first nozzle module. The second nozzle module, when received in the mixer housing, is configured to define at least a portion of the convergent or the convergent-divergent nozzle. The second nozzle module has a different flow characteristic than the first nozzle module.
Positive crankcase ventilation system
A positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system includes: an oil separator separating oil from blow-by gases; a PCV valve allowing the blow-by gases from which the oil has been separated by the oil separator to flow into intake ports of a cylinder head; a PCV passage vertically extending from the PCV valve; a PCV chamber connected to the PCV passage; and a plurality of bypass passages branching off from the PCV chamber to the intake ports, respectively.
