WATER INTRUSION COVER FOR SENSOR PROBE

A water intrusion cover for a sensor probe in an exhaust system is provided. The water intrusion cover includes a main body portion having a substantially cylindrical shape, an inlet opening, and an outlet opening. The inlet opening and outlet opening are formed in a sidewall of the main body portion and are fluidly coupled to form a continuous flow path defined by a surface that, in a cross-section perpendicular to an axis of the main body portion, curves from the inlet opening to the outlet opening. The water intrusion cover further includes a shoulder portion having a substantially cylindrical shape. The main body portion and the shoulder portion collectively define a central passage for the sensor probe.

NOx Sensor Protection System

A NOx sensor protection system includes a flow control device forming an internal chamber with exhaust and shield gas ports and a NOx sensor. The flow control device is configured to selectively allow a flow of exhaust from an exhaust pipe to the NOx sensor when an internal combustion engine is operated with a first fuel, and to selectively direct shield gas from the shield gas port at an angle of 135 to 180 to the NOx sensor to inhibit the flow of exhaust from the exhaust pipe to the NOx sensor when the engine is operated with a second fuel.

A system and method including a non-metallic shell to prevent debris from contacting a component of an exhaust system is disclosed. The shell may be formed from silicone. The shell may also form part of an assembly including a metallic corrugated body, which may be positioned between two pipe sections of the exhaust system. The shell may be separate from an exhaust coupler and be secured separately to the two pipe sections connected to the exhaust coupler.

Clamp

A clamp for use in joining conduit segments comprising a ring sector and a radially projecting channel sector having first and second straps, first and second compression members, a central compression member, and a fastener wherein upon tightening the fastener, axial forces along the fastener are transferred into clamping forces around the clamp in order to seal the conduit segments.

Suction Tube Filter Arrangement And Fluid Tank System For A Fluid Tank

A suction tube filter arrangement includes a suction tube defining a suction tube direction and a filter member extending along the suction tube direction. The suction tube is at least partially arranged inside the filter member.

Utility vehicle

A utility vehicle includes: an air-cooled engine; a cooling fan disposed on one side of the engine with respect to a vehicle widthwise direction and configured to supply a cooling air towards a cylinder unit of the engine; an exhaust pipe disposed on the other side of the engine with respect to the vehicle widthwise direction and connected with an exhaust port of the cylinder unit; an oxygen sensor fitted to the exhaust pipe; and a shield configured to prevent muddy water, which is swirled by the cooling fan, from depending on the exhaust pipe.

Provided is an injection device capable of suppressing the deposition of white products and performing an exhaust gas purification treatment. This injection device is provided with: an injection unit which is provided upstream of a selective reduction-type catalyst device provided inside an exhaust pipe constituting an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, and injects a urea aqueous solution or a diethylamine aqueous solution; a determination unit which determines whether white products derived from the urea aqueous solution injected by the injection part are deposited inside the exhaust pipe; and an injection control unit which controls the injection part to inject the diethylamine aqueous solution when the determination unit has determined that the white products were deposited.

Methods and systems are provided for reducing carbon buildup in an exhaust gas recirculation system of an engine of a vehicle. In one example, a method comprises injecting a diesel exhaust fluid into an intake manifold of the engine, routing the diesel exhaust fluid into the exhaust gas recirculation system, and vaporizing the diesel exhaust fluid in the exhaust gas recirculation system. In this way, any carbon deposits associated with an exhaust gas recirculation valve and/or exhaust gas recirculation passage may be reduced, which may increase fuel economy and may reduce undesired emissions.
