Method for replacing an exhaust aftertreatment component
The invention relates to a method for replacing an exhaust aftertreatment component of an exhaust aftertreatment system in a vehicle or vessel. The exhaust aftertreatment system is delimited by an outer casing and comprises a first sleeve, which extends in an axial direction and contains a first exhaust aftertreatment component mounted directly in the first sleeve. The method comprises the steps of: removing the first exhaust aftertreatment component from the first sleeve, the first sleeve thereby remaining intact within the outer casing, providing a second exhaust aftertreatment component being mounted in a second sleeve, the second sleeve being configured to fit within the first sleeve, and mounting the second sleeve with the second exhaust aftertreatment component in the first sleeve by inserting the second sleeve into the first sleeve in the axial direction thereof.
EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT ASSEMBLY FOR AN EXHAUST GAS SYSTEM OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An exhaust gas treatment assembly includes a housing and an exhaust gas treatment section accommodating chamber in the housing for accommodating an exhaust gas treatment section therein so as to permit the treatment section to be removed from the housing. An exhaust gas supply duct leads to the housing and is open to the housing via a housing inlet region. A main mixing section accommodating chamber accommodates a main mixing section in such a way that the main mixing section can be removed from the housing. A first exhaust gas treatment section inlet region is open to the housing inlet region to receive exhaust gas from the exhaust gas supply duct. A first exhaust gas treatment section outlet region is open to a main mixing section exhaust gas inlet region of the main mixing section.
MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY FOR TRAP FILTER SYSTEMS
The present disclosure is directed to a manifold assembly for a trap filter system having an inlet for receiving a flow of gas effluents containing contaminants generated by a semiconductor processing tool, a housing for a plurality of filters, wherein the plurality of trap filters connected to the inlet and are interchangeable while the semiconductor processing tool remains in operation, and a bypass mechanism configured to selectively direct or shut off the flow of gas effluent to one or more of the plurality of trap filters, wherein each of the plurality of filter is removable and replaceable when the filter is unable to effectuate the removal of contaminants.
Catalysed filter system for treating particulate-containing exhaust gas from stationary emission sources
A catalysed filter system for treating particulate-containing exhaust gas from a stationary emission source comprises an elongate filter element comprising porous walls which define a hollow section and a substrate material supporting a catalyst component disposed within the hollow section, the arrangement being such that gas entering the hollow section of the elongate filter element from across the porous walls thereof must contact the substrate material supporting the catalyst component before exiting the hollow section of the elongate filter element.
Exhaust system
An internal combustion engine exhaust system includes an exhaust gas treatment unit carried at a carrier. The carrier has a receiving opening (20), receiving the treatment unit, with a first sealing surface (28) enclosing the opening. The exhaust gas treatment unit has a second sealing surface (42), enclosing a treatment unit longitudinal axis, located opposite the first sealing surface. The exhaust gas treatment unit has a third sealing surface (44), enclosing the treatment unit longitudinal axis. A closing element (48), fixable with the exhaust gas treatment unit to the carrier, has a fourth sealing surface (50), located opposite the third sealing surface. A first sealing element (52) is arranged between the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface. A second sealing element (54) is arranged between the third sealing surface and the fourth sealing surface. The first sealing element and the second sealing element are of identical configuration.
Emissions module with adjustable sizing
An emission module for treating exhaust gas including a housing, a first catalyst substrate positioned within the housing and having an inlet end, the first catalyst substrate defining a plurality of flow passages extending longitudinally from the inlet end, and a first restrictor plate positioned at the inlet end of the first catalyst substrate to block exhaust flow through a first portion of the plurality of flow passages while allowing exhaust flow through the remainder of the plurality of flow passages.
Systems and methods for remanufacturing selective catalytic reduction systems
An aftertreatment system comprises an aftertreatment component. An outlet sensor is positioned downstream of the aftertreatment component. A controller is communicatively coupled to the outlet sensor. The controller is configured to interpret an outlet signal from the outlet sensor. The outlet signal is indicative of a performance of the aftertreatment component. The controller determines if the aftertreatment component has deactivated. In response to determining that the aftertreatment component has deactivated, the controller provides a catalyst active material to at least a portion of the aftertreatment component. The catalyst active material coats at least the portion of the aftertreatment component so as to remanufacture the aftertreatment component.
Aftertreatment system for mixing a reductant in an exhaust gas flowing therethrough
An SCR system includes at least one catalyst, and an intake conduit. The intake conduit includes an intake conduit first sidewall, at least a portion of which defines a first curvature. An intake conduit second sidewall is coupled to the intake conduit first sidewall so as to define the intake conduit. A catalyst is fluidly coupled to the intake conduit through the intake conduit second sidewall. The intake conduit second sidewall is inclined at a first angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the SCR system, such that an intake conduit second end cross-section of the intake conduit is smaller than an intake conduit first end cross-section. An intake conduit third sidewall is positioned at the intake conduit second end. The intake conduit is structured to produce an even flow split of the exhaust gas through the intake conduit internal volume towards the catalyst.
Single module integrated aftertreatment module
A selective catalytic reduction system may include a single housing defining a single centerline axis. The selective catalytic reduction system may also include a diesel particulate filter disposed within the single housing and having a DPF center axis aligned with the single centerline axis. The selective catalytic reduction system may also include an SCR catalyst disposed within the single housing and having a center axis aligned with the single centerline axis. In some implementations, the diesel particulate filter may include one or more SiC filters. In some implementations, the SCR catalyst may include one or more extruded SCR catalysts.
