Aerosol generating device with spiral movement for heating
An aerosol generating device includes a housing having an open end and forms a cavity in communication with the open end for receiving an aerosol generating article. The device further includes a rotatable capture element disposed in the cavity. The rotatable capture element is operable to retain the aerosol generating article within the cavity. The rotatable capture element is longitudinally movable within the cavity. The device further includes a heating element in communication with the cavity. The heating element is operable to heat the aerosol generating article retained by the capture element within the cavity. Combined rotation and longitudinal movement of the capture element causes the aerosol generating element to spiral relative to the heating element.
Device for treating fat cells taken from a patient and intended for a transplant
The present invention relates to a device and a method for FIG. 2 treating fat cells taken from a patient and intended for a transplant. More specifically, it relates to a device and a method by suctioning which makes it possible to separate the viable fat cells from the residues and elements which are not transplantable. The device is a device for treating adipose tissues (G) connected to a suctioning means (M), consisting of a sealed treatment chamber (A) comprising a means for connection (17) to said suctioning means (M), a means for inlet (13) of said adipose tissues before treatment, a filtration means (3) and at least one means for outlet (20) of said adipose tissues (G) after treatment, said filtration means (3) comprising a conically shaped external wall (3 1, 3) comprising a narrow base (55) attached to an impeller (25) and an internal sieving means (30) connected to the output means (20), said impeller (25) being subjected to the air pressure reduction created by the suctioning means (M) and constituting a rotary mechanical actuating means for actuating said filtration means (3).
Medicament Delivery Device
A medicament delivery device comprises a needle configured to move between a retracted position and an inserted position; an insertion mechanism to move the needle from the retracted position to the inserted position when activated; a locking arm which, in a locked position, is engaged with the insertion mechanism to prevent activation of the insertion mechanism and, in an unlocked position, is disengaged from the insertion mechanism; a retraction mechanism to move the needle from the inserted position to the retracted position when activated; and a trigger configured to move between a disengaged position and an engaged position. On moving from the disengaged position to the engaged position, the trigger is configured to move the locking arm from the locked position to the unlocked position. On moving from the engaged position to the disengaged position, the trigger is configured to activate the retraction mechanism.
Swing Device for Moving a Blood Bag and Method for Operating a Swing Device
A swing device for moving a blood bag includes a stand, a tray for receiving the blood bag, the tray being pivotable with respect to the stand, an electromotive drive device operatively coupled to the tray for causing a rocking movement of the tray with respect to the stand, and a control device for controlling operation of the drive device. The drive device includes a rotatable shaft member which is rotatable for driving the rocking movement of the tray. The drive device also includes a position encoding device configured to encode a rotary position of the rotatable shaft member of the drive device, wherein the control device is configured to determine a position of the tray with respect to the stand based on an encoder value indicative of the rotary position of the rotatable shaft member.
MINI PERISTALTIC PUMP
A mini peristaltic pump is provided that includes a base plate, first and second gears disposed on a first side of the base plate, first and second roller wheels disposed on a second side of the base plate and coupled to the first and second gears, respectively, and one or more rollers coupled to each of the first and second roller wheels. A motor is coupled to the first gear, the motor configured to rotate the first gear and the first roller wheel to move the one or more rollers coupled to the first roller wheel in a first orbital path to peristaltically engage and compress a hand pump disposed between the first and second roller wheels. A profile feature on the base may be provided instead of the second gear and roller wheel. Systems and methods are also provided.
Device and method for removing undesirable biological and/or chemical entities from biological fluids
A device removing a biological and/or chemical entity (C) from extracorporeal blood (B) is disclosed. The device has a hollow capture chamber with an inlet for the entry of the extracorporeal blood (B) and an outlet for the outflow of the extracorporeal blood (B) and a capture element inside the capture chamber having a reactant surface placed in contact with the extracorporeal blood (B) and a plurality of binding agents (A) for the biological and/or chemical entity to be removed (C) such that the biological and/or chemical entity (C), upon exiting the capture chamber, is removed from the extracorporeal blood (B) as linked to the reactant surface.
Non-enzymatic method and milling device
Non-enzymatic method and milling device for preparing therapeutic cells from adipose tissue comprising: continuously feeding the adipose tissue to the milling device (2); mechanically separating the cells or cell aggregates from adipose tissue moving through the milling device (2) by means of a multiplicity of blades (19) of a rotor (10), wherein the blades (19) are arranged in a spaced arrangement with respect to the overall direction of flow and the blades (19) are moving about an axis of rotation (18), wherein the axis of rotation (18) is provided essentially parallel to said overall direction of flow; continuously withdrawing the processed tissue comprising the separated cells from the milling device (2).
Tracheotomy device and method of use
A device for performing a tracheotomy on a patient without the assistance of a medical professional. The device may include one or more mechanical arms that cause a blade to create an incision, cause a dilating tool to dilate the incision, and cause a tracheotomy tube to be inserted into the incision. The device may further include a scanner and/or a hollow needle connected to an air pressure sensor that may be used to detect whether the device is aligned with the patient's airway.
