Exhaust device and straddle-type vehicle
An exhaust device in which a muffler is disposed on a side of a straddle-type vehicle includes the muffler including a tail pipe configured to discharge exhaust gas and protruding rearward, a tail cover covering a periphery of the tail pipe behind the muffler, and a protector for heat shield interposed between the muffler and the tail cover. Inner sides of the tail cover and the protector in a vehicle width direction are configured to be fixed to each other by a fastening member. An elastic locking portion is formed on an outer side of one of the tail cover and the protector in the vehicle width direction, and a holding portion configured to hold the elastic locking portion is formed on an outer side of another of the tail cover and the protector in the vehicle width direction.
Vehicle component and heat shield including integral fastening features for attaching heat shield to vehicle component
An assembly includes a vehicle component and a heat shield. The vehicle component includes a main body, a first plurality of teeth projecting from a first side of the main body, and a second plurality of teeth projecting from a second side of the main body opposite of the first side. The heat shield includes a first shell and a second shell. The first shell defines a first plurality of windows configured to receive the first plurality of teeth. The second shell defines a second plurality of windows configured to receive the second plurality of teeth. The heat shield is attachable to the vehicle component by positioning the heat shield such that the first plurality of teeth projects through the first plurality of windows and the second plurality of teeth projects through the second plurality of windows.
OUTBOARD MOTOR
An outboard motor that significantly reduces or prevents discoloration around an exhaust hole includes an engine, a drive shaft, a propeller shaft, a housing, a discharge passage, and non-metal covers. The housing includes a discharge outlet to discharge an exhaust gas of the engine and the cooling water of the engine. The discharge passage guides the exhaust gas and the cooling water from the engine toward the discharge outlet. The covers are detachably attached to the housing so as to cover the discharge outlet and include at least one exhaust opening.
Connecting piece for fluid lines of an exhaust-gas aftertreatment system
The invention relates to a connecting piece (6) for fluid lines of an exhaust gas aftertreatment system (1), comprising a hollow body (6a) having at least three fluid connection points (14, 15), which are fluidically connected to each other in the hollow body (6a), at least two of the fluid connection points (15) being separated from a third fluid connection point (14) by means of respective membranes (19), each membrane (19) being permeable to a liquid and, when wetted by the liquid, being impermeable to a gas.
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING THE TEMPERATURE OF A FREEZABLE OPERATING/AUXILIARY MEDIUM
The invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the temperature of a freezable operating/auxiliary medium (12) which is stored in a reservoir (10) and is used for exhaust gas aftertreatment in compression ignition engines. An overmolding (22) on a heating element (56) forms a wall (50) of an intake duct (28) within a covering area (58).
Connector for a heatable fluid duct, in particular of an SCR system or a water injection system
A connector includes a thermally conductive body defining a passage for a fluid to flow through a duct and configured with an electric heating apparatus situated around the passage. A clip is situated around a portion of the body including one or more snap-in receptacles situated peripherally with respect to the body and configured to fit an electric connection of the electric heating apparatus.
REDUCTANT INSERTION ASSEMBLY PUMPS INCLUDING A CORROSION RESISTANT LAYER
A pump for a reductant insertion assembly, comprises a housing configured to receive a reductant. A pumping element is disposed within the housing. The pumping element configured to pressurize the reductant and communicate the pressurized reductant out of the housing. The housing and/or the pumping element comprises aluminum, and the pump further comprises a corrosion resistant layer disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the housing and/or the pumping element that is configured to contact the reductant. The corrosion resistant layer comprising a fluoropolymer.
Attachment device for a module for dispensing an aqueous solution contained in a tank on board a motor vehicle
The invention relates to an attachment device (1) for a module for dispensing an aqueous solution contained in a tank on board a motor vehicle. According to the invention, such an attachment device (1) comprises a pump stator (31), a heating means and a heat diffuser (14) which comprises a base (15) and a first plurality of walls (16) that are substantially vertical with respect to said base (15) and define at least one first internal volume (3, 17), said base (15) and/or at least one wall that is substantially vertical with respect to the base (15) comprising at least one means (18) for positioning the pump stator and/or a first means (19) for attaching the pump stator and/or at least one second means (20) for attaching the heating means, the pump stator (31) and heat diffuser (14) assembly being overmolded with a plastic material, the attachment device (1) comprising at least one first through-hole (21), preferably in the region of the base of the attachment device (1), suitable for discharging the aqueous solution pumped by the pump, and a second through-hole (22) suitable for supplying the pump with aqueous solution.
