Dual purpose doser spring
An injection assembly for a vehicle exhaust system includes a housing defining a fluid cavity, a doser mounted to the housing and configured to inject a fluid into the fluid cavity, and a valve to control flow of the fluid. The valve is moveable between an open position and a closed position. A resilient member is configured with a biasing force to bias the valve to the closed position. The biasing force is overcome when fluid is heated downstream of the valve and exceeds a predetermined pressure level to allow backflow into the fluid cavity.
DRIP-IRRIGATION CATALYTIC REDUCTION EXHAUST PIPE
A drip-irrigation catalytic reduction exhaust pipe includes an exhaust pipe having a pipe wall in which a plurality of first apertures is formed and a plurality of direct-through ceramic filters arranged in the exhaust pipe in an axial direction from an exhaust gas inlet opening toward the exhaust gas outlet opening, or alternatively, a wall-flow filter being arranged at a location that is closest to the exhaust gas outlet opening. A flow guide tube is arranged outside the exhaust pipe and is connected to a container and includes a plurality of second apertures. The second apertures respectively correspond to the first apertures. An electromagnetic valve controls passage of urea liquid contained in the container through the second apertures and the first apertures to drip into the exhaust pipe and absorbed by a ceramic fiber material for penetration into pores of the direct-through ceramic filters and the wall-flow filter.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH AT LEAST ONE CONNECTOR AND AT LEAST ONE MEDIA LINE
Connector assembly, and/or motor-vehicle connector assembly, with at least one connector and at least one media line connected to the connector. The media line is electrically heated, a heat-conducting element being arranged in the transition region between connector and media line. The heat-conducting element extends with a first heat-conducting section into the media line and with a second heat-conducting section into the connector. By means of the electric heating of the media line, the heat-conducting element is heated, and/or indirectly heated, and in particular is heated and/or indirectly heated as far as the region of the connector.
HEAT-INSULATED PIPE ARRANGEMENT
A heat-insulated pipe assembly includes a pipe allowing a fluid to flow therethrough, and a heat insulating member covers at least a part of the pipe. The pipe is used in an exhaust gas purification system using an SCR catalyst. The heat insulating member has a closed-cell structure and suppresses an increase in a temperature of the fluid due to heat exchange with air. In the exhaust gas purification system using the SCR catalyst, the interior of the pipes is thermally insulated from the exterior by the heat insulating member. Thereby an increase in the temperature of the fluid flowing through the pipe due to heat exchange with air is suppressed.
FLUID LINE
The invention relates to a fluid line (1) having a tube (2) made of a synthetic material. The fluid line (1) should be guided in a flexible manner. To this end, it is provided that the synthetic material can be subjected to a temperature of at least 150° C., and that along part of the length thereof, the tube (2) is surrounded by an expansion protection (8).
EXHAUST GAS CONTROL APPARATUS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An exhaust gas control apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes an addition valve, a tank, a urea water passage, a pump, a nitrogen oxides catalyst, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to: control the pump, as a first control, such that a specified amount of the urea water stored in the addition valve and the urea water passage is returned to the tank after the internal combustion engine is stopped; control the pump, as a second control, such that the specified amount or more of the urea water in the tank is discharged from the tank to the urea water passage after the first control is executed; and control the pump, as a third control, such that all the urea water stored in the addition valve and the urea water passage is returned to the tank after the second control is executed.
Work vehicle
A work vehicle includes a vehicle body, a guiding pipe, a first heating section, and a second heating section. The vehicle body has a partition wall that partitions a space in an inner section into a first region and a second region. The guiding pipe is configured to guide a reducing agent. The guiding pipe has a first pipe section and a second pipe section. The first pipe section is positioned inside the first region. The second pipe section is positioned in the second region. The first heating section heats the first pipe section. The second heating section heats the second pipe section and adjusts the temperature independently from the first heating section.
OPTICAL SENSING OF NOx AND AMMONIA IN AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEMS
An aftertreatment system configured to reduce constituents of an exhaust gas produced by an engine comprises an aftertreatment component and an optical assembly. The optical assembly comprises an optical emitter configured to emit light onto a face of the aftertreatment component, and an optical detector configured to detect light reflected from the face of the aftertreatment component. A controller is configured to determine at least one of an amount of NOx gases or an amount of ammonia on the face of the aftertreatment component based on an optical parameter of the detected light that has reflected from the face of the aftertreatment component.
DOSING CONDUIT ARRANGEMENTS FOR EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEM
An aftertreatment device includes flow guides disposed within a dosing conduit. Exhaust enters through a perforated region of the dosing conduit and passes through the flow guides. The flow guides induce swirling or other turbulence to mix injected reactant with the exhaust gas. Various types of flow guides include cantilevered vanes, guide passageways, and louvered openings of a second conduit. Some types of flow guides induce localized mixing to inhibit deposit formation at the doser mounting unit. Other types of flow guides induce mixing downstream of the dosing conduit.
APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING AMMONIA
The invention relates to a device for generating ammonia from an ammonia precursor solution, having a reaction space with an inflow connector through which an exhaust-gas flow can flow into the reaction space, having an outflow connector through which an ammonia-containing gas flow can exit the reaction space, and having a supply device by way of which selectively an ammonia precursor solution or a fuel can be supplied into the reaction space.
