Bracketing Systems for Ducts and Hoses in a Vehicle's Engine Compartment
As engines are developing more specific power than earlier versions, the engines move more severely in the engine compartment during torque changes than prior engines. A more robust system to retain engine ducts and tubes is desired, particularly for situations where one end of the duct is mounted to a sub-component in the engine compartment and another end to the engine. A bracketing system for a powerplant for a vehicle has an engine mounted to a vehicle frame via engine mounts, an air cleaner mounted to the vehicle frame, a duct fluidly coupling the air cleaner with the engine, a first bracket coupled to and wrapped around a portion of an engine component, and a second bracket coupled to the first bracket. The first bracket has an orifice for the tie straps to secure the engine coolant tubes and the second bracket is curved to accept the duct.

CYLINDER HEAD OF MULTI-CYLINDER ENGINE
A first coolant flow passage (31, 32) is provided to extend in a longitudinal direction of a cylinder head (101). In at least one of cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the first coolant flow passage (31, 32) is located between a flat plane (S1) including central axes of a plurality of combustion chambers (4) and parallel to the longitudinal direction and a central line plane (S2) including central lines of a plurality of intake ports (2). In at least one of cross sections perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, at least a portion (20c) of a second coolant flow passage is located between a cylinder block mating surface (la) of the cylinder head (101) and the intake port central line plane (S2). A coolant at a temperature lower than that of a coolant flowing in the second coolant flow passage (20c) flows in the first coolant flow passage (31, 32).

VALVE AND FLUID TANK FOR A FLUID SYSTEM, AND A FLUID SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A valve for a fluid system of a vehicle having a valve housing with valve housing openings, a valve body arranged so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation, a valve seal, a valve drive, and a plurality of connecting pieces corresponding to the valve housing openings. The connecting pieces have a circular flow passage area in cross section at a free end of the respective connecting piece, and the valve housing openings, corresponding to the connecting pieces, each have a substantially rectangular cross section. The respective valve housing opening is larger than the flow passage area at the free end of the corresponding connecting piece, and the flow passage areas of the connecting pieces widen in a diffuser-like manner from the free end of the respective connecting piece to the respective corresponding valve housing opening and merge in a stepless manner into the respective valve housing opening.
