A cooling device for a power source for a boat propulsion apparatus includes a cooling water passage. The cooling water passage includes a passage provided in the power source, in which an engine or an electric motor is used as the power source of the boat propulsion apparatus that propels a boat. Water from outside the boat is taken into the cooling water passage as cooling water to cool the power source, and the cooling water after cooling the power source is drained from the cooling water passage. From the cooling water flowing through the cooling water passage, foreign substances having a size that clogs the cooling water passage are removed. The cooling water passage is provided with a filter device which can filter residual foreign substances remaining in the cooling water.

DISTRIBUTED COOLING SYSTEM FOR A WORK MACHINE

A distributed cooling system is disclosed. The system may include a first radiator to circulate a liquid coolant through the first radiator to cool the liquid coolant, a first fan, electrically connected to the first radiator, to facilitate cooling the liquid coolant, and a first temperature sensor to obtain first temperature data concerning the liquid coolant. The system may include a second radiator to circulate an oil through the second radiator to cool the oil, a second fan, electrically connected to the second radiator, to facilitate cooling the oil, and a second temperature sensor to obtain second temperature data concerning the oil. The system may include a heat exchanger to cool the liquid coolant and the oil and a controller, electrically connected to the first fan, the first temperature sensor, the second fan, and the second temperature sensor, to control the first fan and the second fan.

Engine compartment flammable fluid drainage system

The present invention achieves technical advantages as an engine compartment drainage system that allows fluid on an engine deck to exit an engine compartment, while shielding fluid from airflow. A fluid drainage apparatus utilizes a funnel member to direct fluid to an external drain line. A drain shield circumscribes the top end of the funnel member and upwardly extending therefrom and directs airflow away from the funnel member. A plurality of deck holes are disposed in the drain shield, such that fluid on the deck can enter the funnel member and exit the engine compartment. A fluid drainage system, disposes the fluid drainage apparatus in an engine deck to allow fluid on the deck to enter a funnel member of the apparatus and direct it toward the external drain line.

Engine compartment flammable fluid drainage system

The present invention achieves technical advantages as an engine compartment drainage system that allows fluid on an engine deck to exit an engine compartment, while shielding fluid from airflow. A fluid drainage apparatus utilizes a funnel member to direct fluid to an external drain line. A drain shield circumscribes the top end of the funnel member and upwardly extending therefrom and directs airflow away from the funnel member. A plurality of deck holes are disposed in the drain shield, such that fluid on the deck can enter the funnel member and exit the engine compartment. A fluid drainage system, disposes the fluid drainage apparatus in an engine deck to allow fluid on the deck to enter a funnel member of the apparatus and direct it toward the external drain line.

A utility vehicle includes: an air-cooled engine; a cooling fan disposed on one side of the engine with respect to a vehicle widthwise direction and configured to supply a cooling air towards a cylinder unit of the engine; an exhaust pipe disposed on the other side of the engine with respect to the vehicle widthwise direction and connected with an exhaust port of the cylinder unit; an oxygen sensor fitted to the exhaust pipe; and a shield configured to prevent muddy water, which is swirled by the cooling fan, from depending on the exhaust pipe.

A general purpose engine includes: a crankcase to support an engine rotary shaft; a cylinder unit extending from the crankcase in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the engine rotary shaft; a cooling fan fixed to one of opposite ends of the engine rotary shaft; and a fan housing configured to have an air induction opening defined therein for the cooling fan and to cover the crankcase and the cylinder unit from one side of the engine rotary shaft. At a position of the fan housing which is opposed to the cooling fin of the cylinder unit, a cleaning access window is defined. The cleaning access window is covered by a debris covering that is capable of being selectively opened and closed. The debris covering has one end portion engaged with the fan housing and the other end portion removably mounted on the fan housing by a magnetic body.

An air-cooled engine generator usable in an enclosed and relatively small indoor space includes an engine including a crank shaft on which a generator and a fan are provided. An outside cover includes a discharge aperture which discharges cooling air generated by the fan, and covers the engine, the generator, the fan, and a cooling section. The cooling section includes a mixing chamber where a coolant introduced from the outside and exhaust gas discharged from an exhaust pipe of the engine mix with each other, and an outer circumferential surface which is cooled by the coolant that is introduced into the mixing chamber. The exhaust gas is mixed with and cooled by the coolant in the mixing chamber while the cooling air which is supposed to be discharged out of the air-cooled engine generator is cooled by the outer circumferential surface of the cooling section.
