REDUCING SORBENT CARTRIDGE RECHARGING REQUIREMENTS
Systems and methods for reducing the burden of recharging on patients and caregivers are provided. The systems and methods use a microbe removal layer upstream of a sorbent cartridge in a sorbent-based dialysis system. The systems and methods can determine whether the bacterial content and remaining capacity of a non-recharged sorbent module are suitable for the sorbent module to be reused safely and effectively without recharging.
Injector systems and syringe adapters for use therewith
An adapter for releasably attaching a syringe to an injector. The adapter comprises a mounting mechanism positioned at a rear end of the adapter to mount the adapter in a desired position relative to a front wall of the injector; and a syringe carrier section adapted to seat at least a portion of the syringe. The syringe carrier section defines a first opening on a top thereof to allow placement of the syringe therein from the top and a second opening in a rear section thereof to allow the drive member of the injector to communicate forward force to the plunger. A cover portion extends over a rearward end of the first opening and has a first end configured to abut the flange of the syringe when the syringe is positioned within the syringe carrier section.
Pump device having a detection device
The invention relates to a pump device having a pump (8) and an energy supply device (5, 18), wherein the pump has a conveying element (9, 11) which conveys a fluid by means of supplied energy, wherein the pump has a transport state and an operating state, and wherein at least one first element (9, 9a, 10, 10′, 11) of the pump has a different shape and/or size in the transport state than in the operating slate. The operating safety of such a pump device is increased by a detection device (12, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29) which detects whether at least the first element is in the operating state with respect to shape and/or size by means of a sensor.
PROVIDING OUTSIDE STIMULUS TO AID IN SLEEP
A sleep system can introduce outside stimulus such as simulated heartbeat and/or respiration to induce a response from the sleeper which can cause the sleeper's body to mimic or mate up with the delivered heartbeat and/or respiration sequence. Simulated heartbeat and/or respiration introduced to the person's sleeping environment can guide the person from an awake state to a sleeping state, help the person transition between sleep stages, help the person maintain one or more sleep stages for longer or shorter durations, and gently guide the person from an asleep state to an awake state. The simulated heartbeat and/or respiration can also improve the quality of sleep that the person experiences in a given sleep phase.

Push connector for vape cartridges
The present invention provides a connector for push-connecting a cartridge containing vaporizable material, such as a 510-cartridge, to a power-supplying device. The connector includes a housing containing electrical contacts, a cartridge-receiving end for receiving a conductive end of the cartridge, and a flexible, preferably silicone, ring connected to the cartridge receiving end of the housing for retaining the conductive end of the cartridge inserted therethrough against the electrical contacts. The ring is preferably part of a silicon boot that houses the housing.
System and method for vaporizing cartridge system with diffuser
Provided is a system and method for a vaporizer cartridge system wherein the cartridge provides the diffuser. More specifically, an embodiment of the system includes a vaporizing device providing a heating element proximate to a removable cartridge system receiving port, and a dispenser trigger structured and arranged to engage the removable cartridge to dispense a predetermined amount of a liquid concentrate from within the removable cartridge. The system further includes a cartridge with diffuser including: a housing; a reservoir of liquid concentrate; a diffuser element; a metered dispenser structured and arranged to dispense from the reservoir into the diffuser element a predetermined amount of liquid concentrate. An associated method of use is also provided.
PUMP DEVICE HAVING A DETECTION DEVICE
The invention relates to a pump device having a pump (8) and an energy supply device (5, 18), wherein the pump has a conveying element (9, 11) which conveys a fluid by means of supplied energy, wherein the pump has a transport state and an operating state, and wherein at least one first element (9, 9a, 10, 10′, 11) of the pump has a different shape and/or size in the transport state than in the operating state. Negative pressure wound therapy dressing recognition, wound status detection, and therapy adjustment
Negative pressure wound therapy systems, apparatuses, and methods for operating the systems and apparatuses are disclosed. In some cases, the system can include a dressing having electronic circuitry that wirelessly communicates a dressing identifier and/or other dressing information to a controller of a pump assembly of the system. The controller can automatically modify one or more operational parameters of the pump assembly based on the dressing identifier and/or other dressing information wirelessly communicated. Duration of time over which the dressing has been in use can be monitored and provision of therapy by the pump assembly can be disabled responsive to a determination that the duration of time has reached operational lifetime of the dressing.
CPAP SYSTEM
An apparatus for humidifying a flow of breathable gas includes a water reservoir and a water reservoir dock forming a cavity structured and arranged to receive the water reservoir in an operative position. The water reservoir comprises a reservoir base including a cavity structured to hold a volume of water, the reservoir base including a main body and a thermally conductive portion provided to the main body. The thermally conductive portion comprises a combined layered arrangement including a metal plate and a thin film, the thin film comprising a non-metallic material and including a wall thickness of less than about 1 mm. The thin film is adapted to form at least a bottom interior surface of the water reservoir exposed to the volume of water, and the metal plate is adapted to form a bottom exterior surface of the water reservoir.
