BREATHING TUBE ASSEMBLIES WITH ADJUSTABLE ELBOW
Breathing tube assemblies for use with a respiratory therapy device, such as a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device, includes an elbow that permits adjustment of a position of the breathing tube assembly relative to the respiratory therapy device. In some arrangements, the breathing tube assembly includes a breathing tube and a swivel elbow. The breathing tube is rotationally fixed relative to the respiratory therapy device and the swivel elbow rotatable relative to the breathing tube. In other arrangements, the breathing tube assembly includes an elbow that can be coupled to the respiratory therapy device in one of several possible positions.
PRESSURE RELIEF DEVICE AND COMPONENTS THEREFOR
A connector having a connector body with an inlet and an outlet defining a gas flow passage therebetween. The connector body has an overlap portion that is configured to overlap with a portion of a second connector when connected. An access passage extends through the overlap portion to the gas flow passage.
SAFETY COUPLERS FOR MEDICAL VENTILATOR SYSTEM
Distinctly keyed male-female couplers are pneumatically connected to medical ventilator by distinct lines carrying pulsatile gas or sensory signals. Ventilator-mounted female coupler has entranceway cavity and larger receiving cavity delimited by catch edge. Male fence-forming longitudinal winglets extend from sealing plate carry terminal end convexities which latch onto catch edge. Winglets move inward due to larger fence circumference than entranceway and seat on catch. Winglets placed in tension due to locking length less than entranceway span, then convert force into sealing compressive force between sealing plate and female tube end. Conjoining male tube bayoneted and sheathed by projecting female tube, resulting in another gas seal. Two compressive seals formed between male distal port and pneumatic line. Extending male key(s) on winglet insertable into matching female slots. Convexities block insertion of non-matching couplers set due to interference by convexities on female on entranceway edges.
Aerosol delivery device with a reservoir housing and a vaporizer assembly
The present disclosure relates to an aerosol delivery device that includes a reservoir housing that defines a mouthpiece channel. The aerosol delivery device includes a sealing member configured to be received within the reservoir housing to define a reservoir chamber configured to retain an aerosol precursor composition therein. The aerosol delivery device also includes a substrate member that is configured to be received within the reservoir housing and to be directly engaged with a vaporizing assembly for forming an aerosol. The reservoir housing, sealing member, substrate member, and/or vaporizing assembly can be used for forming aerosols with precise and reproducible compositions.
CONDUIT CONNECTOR FOR A PATIENT BREATHING DEVICE
In an embodiment, a connector or connector assembly for attaching a nasal cannula with a gas delivery hose includes a sensor port for a sensor probe positioned near an end of a nasal cannula, which can allow the sensor probe to be placed closer to the patient's nostrils than previous connector parts allowed. The connector can be configured to advantageously allow the nasal cannula to rotate relative to the gas delivery hose, thereby allowing a patient or healthcare provider to untangle or otherwise straighten the hose or the cannula. The connector assembly can be configured to automatically align locking protrusions on a first component with locking recesses on a second component, where insertion of the second component within the first component causes the second component to rotate relative to the first component, thereby aligning the locking protrusions with associated locking recesses.
ADAPTED E-CIGARETTE WITH AUTHENTICATION FOR NICOTINE DELIVERY
The present invention is directed to a system comprising a mobile inhaler (1) that is configured to be simultaneously connected to at least one or a plurality of liquid containers (17) and to deliver an inhaling substance (10), wherein the inhaling substance comprises at least one of an amount of a first component (11) and an amount of a second component (12). The mobile inhaler further comprises at least one or a plurality of connector(s) (80) configured for connection of the mobile inhaler to the at least one or the plurality of liquid containers and for intaking of at least a portion of each of the liquid container(s)'s content(s). The system comprises furthermore the at least one or the plurality of liquid containers, wherein the at least one or the plurality of liquid containers comprises a plurality of reservoirs, wherein each reservoir comprises a component of the inhaling substance and wherein the reservoirs each comprise mutually different components of the inhaling substance. The present invention is furthermore directed to a method for operating the system, comprising delivering the inhaling substance by the mobile inhaler, wherein the mobile inhaler delivers at least the first component of the inhaling substance according to a set of conditions. Said set of conditions regulates at least one of a quantity and a general delivery of at least one of the first component and the inhaling substance.
Injection device and a supplemental device configured for attachment thereto
A supplemental device configured for attachment to an injection device, the supplemental device comprising: a camera configured to generate camera output indicative of a scene viewable by the camera, and to be located on an optical path with a surface of an injection device attached to the supplemental device in use; a light source having an emission spectrum and configured to illuminate the surface with light within the emission spectrum in use; and a filter configured to be located on the optical path between the camera and the surface in use, the filter being substantially opaque to light across the entire emission spectrum of the light source and substantially transparent to light of at least one frequency outside the emission spectrum of the light source.
Inhaler
An inhaler for inhalation of a formulation in powder form includes: a magazine which is rotatable and contains pre-dosed doses of the formulation in capsules, a housing which is substantially round or disc-shaped, the housing having a housing part in which the rotatable magazine is disposed, where the housing part is fixedly coupled to the rotatable magazine, and is removable from the housing in order to facilitate replacement of the magazine by inserting a new magazine.
RESPIRATORY MASK
Disclosed is a respiratory mask comprising a mask body and an articulated connection piece that can be connected to a respiratory tube. On the mask body, at least one exhalation gap is located in the vicinity of a connection that holds the articulated connection piece. Preferably, the exhalation gap terminates in an umbrella-shaped outflow channel that runs away from the patient. Preferably, at least two components of the respiratory mask are interconnected without play.
Dose delivery device for inhalation
Methods and devices for delivering a dose, such as a medicament, for inhalation. A dose may be stored by a delivery device and dispersed and delivered in a metered fashion to a subject, such as by the subject inhaling via a mouthpiece of the delivery device. One or more chambers of the device may have a toroidal shape and may be arranged to be selectively opened for fluid communication with a flow path of the delivery device, such as by sliding the chamber relative to a portion of the flow path. The flow path may include a restriction that permits air to bypass the chamber, and/or the chamber may be arranged so that fluid entering the chamber interacts with fluid exiting the chamber so as to enhance dispersion of the dose.
