INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH INTAKE MANIFOLD INJECTION, IN PARTICULAR HYDROGEN COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH INTAKE INJECTION
The invention relates to an internal combustion engine with intake manifold injection, comprising at least two combustion chambers, at least one central rail for supplying fuel for the intake manifold injection, and at least one air distributor for supplying air to the individual combustion chambers, characterized in that the central rail is attached to the air distributor, or the central rail and the air distributor are formed as an integral component.
Fuel injector for fuel system having damping adjustment valve
A fuel injector for a fuel system in an internal combustion engine includes an injector housing, a direct-operated nozzle check movable within the injector housing, a check biasing spring within a spring chamber and biasing the nozzle check toward the closed position. The injector housing defines a damping control space, an always-open vent from the spring chamber to the damping control space, and a second vent from the spring chamber to the damping control space. The fuel injector further includes a hydraulically actuated damping adjustment valve movable responsive to a pressure of fuel supplied to the fuel injector between a higher damping position blocking the second vent, and a lower damping position where the second vent is open.
CO2 Electrochemical reduction based solar powered hybrid internal combustion engine and battery electric vehicle
A CO2 electrochemical reduction based solar powered hybrid internal combustion engine and battery electric vehicle system employs CO2 to drive hybrid electric vehicles. The inflatable non-imaging solar concentrator based concentrating hybrid solar thermal and photovoltaic system with ultra-high efficiency, extremely low cost, and super-light weight is able to electrochemically reduce the CO2 into CO and supply fuel to CO internal combustion engine. The thermoelectric activated thermal electricity storage is integrated into the system to store thermal energy and regenerate electric power. The entire system is made into a mobile EV charging station. The mobile EV charging station is not only able to generate electric power locally to charge EVs, but also able to transport power from solar powered EV changing station network and power grid to the sites where EVs are located.
Quantum kinetic injector
An electrolysis system includes an injector with a conical tapered resonant capacitor wave-guide forming two voltage zones of polarity. An anode probe establishes a positive charge reaction of a capacitive voltage region. An anode exciter component has a conically tapered tip with a tapering diameter that diminishes toward a tip end and determines a guide path through the injector for a dielectric medium. A cathode probe is retained within the anode probe for establishing a negative charge reaction of the capacitive voltage region. A cathode exciter component includes a cathode tapered tip conically parallel with the anode conically tapered tip. The anode and cathode end portions form a compression exiting nozzle port. The compression exiting nozzle port receives a mixture of water mist and fuel gases to focus the mixture into a trigger zone of fuel gas combustion, which triggers an electrolysis reaction in the water mist.
DUAL ZONE COOLING SYSTEM FOR COMBINED ENGINE COMPRESSORS
Typically, an engine-compressor for compressing natural gas for use as a fuel has a single cooling circuit to cool both its combustion unit and compression unit. A single cooling circuit design is not ideal because the optimal temperature for the combustion unit is higher than the compression unit of the engine-compressor. The present invention provides a dual zone cooling system to cool the combustion unit separately from the compression unit.
Electromagnetic actuating device, use and method for producing same
An electromagnetic positioning device includes an armature member for actuating a positioning partner and movable in an armature space relative to a stationary core (30). The armature member conducts magnetic flux upon energization of a stationary coil (32). The coil has a coil support with a winding and at least one external contactable connector (46) embedded at least in sections in the core and/or surrounded by the core. The core has an end surface (34), which is planar at least in sections, for interacting with the armature member. The core and the coil are embedded in and/or surrounded by a one-piece pot-like and/or cup-like housing (38) made of a material suitable for deep-drawing in such a manner that the core rests on a membrane-like, continuous and closed base section of the housing, the base section realizing a boundary surface of the armature space.
Isolation valve for spark-ignition piston engines
A valve comprising a stationary shell and a rotatable annular core is designed for installation on the block deck of a spark-ignition piston engine, with there being one valve installed on the engine's block for every cylinder in the block. Rotation of the annular core cyclically opens and closes the ignition pathway(s) extending between the internal volume of the valve's associated cylinder and the spark plug(s) initiating combustion within the cylinder, with the pathway(s) only being open during time intervals wherein the spark plug(s) are electrically activated as part of the engine's normal operating cycle. Control of the open-closed status of the ignition pathway(s) eliminates engine pre-fire events caused by hot points on the spark plug(s). The valve also provides improved technology for directing and regulating the flow of fuel, oxidant, and exhaust gases as they are transferred into and out of the valve's associated cylinder.
Fully flexible, self-optimizing, digital hydraulic engines and methods with preheat
The engines include compression cylinders, combustion cylinders, an air rail, and a heat exchanger. The methods of operating a compression ignition engine include taking air into a compression cylinder of the engine, compressing the air in the compression cylinder to raise the pressure and temperature of the air, passing the compressed air through a heat exchanger, and from the heat exchanger into a combustion cylinder, further compressing the compressed air during a compression stroke of the combustion cylinder, igniting fuel in the combustion cylinder at or near the end of the compression stroke by compression ignition, followed by a power stroke, and opening an exhaust valve at the end of the power stroke and passing at least some of the exhaust in the combustion cylinder through the heat exchanger to heat air that has been compressed in the compression cylinder and is then passing through the heat exchanger.
Fuel bypass system for gaseous-fueled engine
A method of operating a forced induction gaseous-fueled engine includes mixing gaseous-fuel and engine intake air to form a mixture at a fuel mixer. The method includes delivering the mixture to an intake manifold by at least partially bypassing a charge air cooler.
