An engine system includes an internal combustion engine having an engine block with one or more piston-cylinder arrangements communicating with an intake manifold and an exhaust manifold, a charge air passageway to the intake manifold, and an exhaust gas passageway that receives exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold. The engine system also includes one or more turbochargers each including a compressor to compress charge air and output the compressed charge air to the charge air passageway and a turbine that receives exhaust gas from the exhaust gas passageway and drives the compressor in response to the exhaust gas passing through the turbine. An air pump is positioned downstream of the compressor that supplies a portion of the compressed charge air into the exhaust gas passageway upstream of the turbine, such that the turbine receives both exhaust gas and compressed charge air.

Provided is an opening/closing mechanism for an intake member which enables backlash suppression a working member and positioning of a choke lever. The opening/closing mechanism includes the intake member that accommodates a filter part and has an opening leading to a carburetor at an end wall portion facing the filter part; an opening/closing member that is disposed between the filter part and the end wall portion, and opens and closes the opening; and a working member that is disposed on a side opposite to the opening/closing member with the end wall portion interposed therebetween. The working member includes an arm portion that extends along the end wall portion and is coupled with the opening/closing member at one end by sandwiching the end wall portion therebetween, and a holding portion that is provided at the other end of the arm portion, the intake member has a guide hole into which the arm portion is inserted to guide movement of the arm portion, the guide hole has a first fixing portion that fixes the arm portion on one side in a movement direction of the arm portion, and a second fixing portion that fixes the arm portion on the other side in the movement direction of the arm portion, and widths of the first fixing portion and the second fixing portion of the guide hole are respectively equal to or less than a width of the arm portion.

The valve assembly also includes a valve body for controlling the flow of exhaust gas through the bore, and a shaft coupled to the valve body. The valve body is moveable between a closed position and an open position when the shaft rotates about the axis. The vale assembly additionally includes a first biasing member coupled to the shaft and configured to bias the shaft along the shaft axis in a first direction, and a second biasing member coupled to the shaft and configured to bias the valve body in the first direction along the shaft axis.

An air intake assembly has an inlet member, a fluid reservoir, and an outlet. The inlet member defines a generally vertical oriented first fluid channel. The first fluid channel has a vertically extending portion, an upper inlet end, and a lower end. The fluid reservoir has an upper region that defines a second fluid channel. The fluid reservoir is attached to a lower end of the inlet member such that the first fluid channel vertically extending portion is substantially perpendicular to the second fluid channel. The fluid reservoir has an outlet defined by an aperture in a lower region of the fluid reservoir which forms a liquid collector. The trapdoor is pivotably attached to the fluid reservoir adjacent to the outlet. The rigid trapdoor is configured to open when exposed to a predetermined open force value to allow liquid to escape the liquid collector.

A method for diagnosing the dynamics of a sensor in the fresh air or exhaust gas tract of internal combustion engines, as well as a computer program, a computer program product and a corresponding vehicle. It is provided that a corresponding sensor for measuring a pressure signal in the fresh air or exhaust gas tract of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, which is coupled with a control and computing unit, is checked with respect to its dynamic characteristics. Measured values of differing frequency ranges are measured, these being used as the basis for a calculation of a characteristic. After the calculation, the characteristic is compared with a threshold value stored in a user-defined manner in the control and computing unit. If the calculated characteristic deviates from the threshold value, at least one triggering signal is triggered, so that an impaired sensor dynamic of the sensor is displayed.

In one example, the quick connector may include a locking mechanism and a feedback system.

An opening/closing mechanism of an intake member includes: an intake member that accommodates a filter part and has an opening leading to a carburetor in an end wall opposing the filter part; an opening/closing member disposed between the filter part and the end wall, and opens/closes the opening; and a working member disposed on an opposite side to the opening/closing member so as to interpose the end wall, and allows the opening/closing member to be operated. The working member includes: an arm part which extends along the end wall and is linked with the opening/closing member to interpose the end wall at one end part, and a holding part provided to another end part of the arm part. The intake member has a guide hole into which the arm part is inserted and guides movement of the arm part.
