FUEL SUPPLY DEVICES
A fuel supply device has a cover member which is attached to an opening portion of a fuel tank and a pump unit comprising a pump. The cover member and pump unit are connected via a connecting portion where the pump unit is rotatably connected to the connecting portion. Further, the fuel supply device includes a fuel residual amount detection device which is attached to the pump unit and configured to detect the residual amount of fuel. The fuel residual amount detection device includes a gauge main body to which electric wirings are connected, an arm portion which is movably mounted relative to the gauge main body and a float which is attached to a leading end of the arm portion. The float is positioned above a lower terminal end of the base portion when the cover portion is held and lifted while the pump unit rotates with respect to the connecting portion.
Diesel low pressure/high pressure flow control system
A fuel injection apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes a fuel supply line in communication with a fuel tank and a fuel pump system. A fuel rail is connected to the fuel supply system and a plurality of fuel injectors. A return line extending from the fuel rail to the fuel tank. A by-pass passage extending from the supply line to the return line and including a pressure release valve having a pre-set activation pressure. A fuel temperature sensor for sensing a feed temperature of the fuel in the fuel supply system. A pressure control module that sets a first pressure set point in the fuel rail below the pre-set activation pressure when the feed temperature is below a predetermined temperature and sets a second pressure set point above the pre-set activation pressure of the pressure release valve when the feed temperature is above the predetermined temperature.
FUEL TANK AND PUMP SYSTEM
An in-tank fuel pump assembly and mounting system is disclosed which may be configured for mounting inside a fuel tank. The assembly includes a pump housing, pump mounted to the housing, and pressure relief valve. The housing may comprise upper and lower pump housing units coupled together. The upper housing unit is configured for mounting to a tank opening, which in one implementation may be the fuel fill opening. The lower housing unit extends into the tank to approximately the bottom of the tank. A fuel fill fluid pathway is created through the housing for adding fuel to the tank while the pump assembly remains in situ. The upper housing unit may include a removable fuel cap. The pump housing may include an integral vapor trap.
SYSTEM FOR FLUID TESTING AND FUEL SUPPLY
A fluid testing system comprises a source that generates electromagnetic waves, a detector that receives the transmitted electromagnetic waves and generates analog signals corresponding to the colours represented in the electromagnetic waves and, a receptacle, having a fluid inlet and an optical inner tube with transparent walls. The receptacle is positioned between the source and the detector to enable the electromagnetic waves to pass through its walls and through a fluid sample in the receptacle. A repository stores a pre-determined range of reference values corresponding to the values of digital signals for fluids of various colours. An analog to digital converter in the system cooperates with the detector to receive the analog signals, converting them into digital signals, wherein the values are compared with the reference values by a comparator. A fluid outlet provides tested fluid. Further, a fuel supply system is disclosed for supplying fuel to a vehicle.
METHOD FOR FILLING AN OPERATING FLUID CONTAINER AND OPERATING FLUID CONTAINER FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD
A method for filling an operating fluid container and the operating fluid container thereof, which allows gases expelled from the operating fluid container to the atmosphere during a filling process of the operating fluid container to be reduced.
Fuel-supply assembly for internal combustion engine and method for assembling the same
A universal fuel-supply assembly is adaptable during manufacturing to be made for use with one of multiple different fuel types (e.g., gasoline or diesel fuel). A method for assembling a fuel-supply assembly includes providing a plate structure configured to be secured to a fuel tank. The plate structure has multiple bosses. According to one example, the method determines whether the fuel-supply assembly is for use as a diesel fuel-supply assembly or as a gasoline fuel-supply assembly. The method provides an opening through one of two different bosses that communicates with both the top side and the bottom side of the plate structure depending on whether the fuel-supply assembly is for use as a diesel fuel-supply assembly or a gasoline fuel-supply assembly.
FLUID DELIVERY DEVICE
A fluid delivery device, comprising an integrated cabinet, a pump installed in the integrated cabinet, an inlet pipeline connected to the pump, and an outlet pipeline connected to the pump; the pump comprises a motor located at the bottom portion of the integrated cabinet, a pump head located at the top portion of the integrated cabinet, and a magnetic coupling portion located between the motor and the pump head; the pump head, the magnetic coupling portion and the motor are arranged in a sequence from top to bottom; and the pump head is provided with a U-shaped flow channel and a gear mechanism therein located at the bottommost portion of the flow channel. The fluid delivery device eliminates bubbles in the solution accumulated in the pump, thus ensuring a working efficiency of fluid delivery of the pump, and ensuring precise control of a delivery amount.
VEHICLE TANK PRESSURIZATION DEVICE
A vehicle tank pressurization device has a valve seat establishing an opening for fuel vapours and/or air; such opening has a vertical axis coincident with the direction of application of an opening force, that is directed upwards and is produced, in use, by the pressure in an internal upper region of the tank; the device also has a movable shutter, placed on the valve seat, to open/close the valve seat, and having a weight set by design in such a way as to define the magnitude of a closing force directed downwards and with a center of gravity positioned eccentrically with respect to the vertical axis of the opening.
FUEL TANK
A fuel tank includes a tank main body and a fuel filler neck. A breather hole is provided in an inner surface of the fuel filler neck. A connecting pipe opens to the inside of the fuel filler neck though the breather hole and extends from the fuel filler neck in the radial direction. The inside of the fuel filler neck includes a first vapor-liquid separation chamber therein that is partitioned from the tank main body and connected to the breather hole. Liquid fuel entering the breather channel is reduced.
FUEL TANK APPARATUS
A fuel tank apparatus is disposed above an engine. The fuel tank apparatus includes a fuel tank in which fuel is stored and a fuel pump coupled to the bottom of the fuel tank. A heat-shield cover that covers a portion of the fuel pump, which portion is exposed from the fuel tank, to shield the portion from heat of the engine is mounted on a coupling portion between the fuel pump and the fuel tank.
