An example aerosol delivery device includes a mouthpiece having an airflow outlet, and an airflow passage extending between an airflow inlet and the airflow outlet. The example aerosol delivery device further includes a housing configured to receive a cartridge that includes an aerosolizable substance and a vapor element configured to heat the aerosolizable substance, and an internal power source configured to provide electrical power. The example aerosol delivery device further includes a controller coupled to the internal power source to receive a portion of the electrical power and configured to, when the cartridge is installed at the housing, cause the vapor element of the cartridge to heat the aerosolizable substance to release an aerosol into the airflow passage during an inhalation through the airflow outlet, and a connector configured to receive power from an external source to recharge the internal power source.

A method of treating disorders in a human or animal subject may include heating a material containing a compound to a first temperature to form a heated volume of the material. The method may additionally include heating the heated volume to a higher second temperature to form a dose of vapor including the compound. The method may also include administering the dose of vapor to the subject to treat disorders such as pain. The method may further include pre-heating the material to a preliminary temperature prior to the heating to the first temperature. The heating and pre-heating may be performed with a capsule including two covering layers, each including an electrically conductive material, configured to hold the material therebetween and to generate heat by resistive heating.

The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices. The aerosol delivery devices may include a control body and a cartridge including an atomizer and a reservoir configured to contain an aerosol precursor composition. The control body may include a housing defining an electrical power source cavity that extends along a first longitudinal axis and is configured to receive an electrical power source. The control body may additionally include a coupler configured to engage a cartridge including an aerosol precursor composition such that the cartridge extends along a second longitudinal axis. The first longitudinal axis and the second longitudinal axis may be non-coaxial and oriented substantially parallel to one another. A related assembly method is also provided.
Charging device for a physiological signal transmitter and a charging method for the same
A charging device for a physiological signal transmitter is disclosed, wherein the physiological signal transmitter is to receive and transmit a physiological signal from a subcutaneous tissue of a living body, and has a first electrical connecting port. The charging device comprises a body including a placing portion, a charging module and an operating module. The placing portion disposes thereon the physiological signal transmitter, and includes a bearing surface and a first opening. The bearing surface disposes thereon the physiological signal transmitter, and the first opening aligns therewith the first electrical connecting port of the physiological signal transmitter. The charging module is accommodated in the body and includes a second electrical connecting port, a third electrical connecting port and a circuit assembly. The second electrical connecting port is disposed in the opening and protrusive beyond or beneath the bearing surface. The third electrical connecting port is connected to a power source. The circuit assembly is configured to control a charging on the physiological signal transmitter, and electrically connected to the second electrical connecting port and the third electrical connecting port. The operating module is accommodated in the body, and coupled with the charging module, wherein when the physiological signal transmitter is placed on the bearing surface and in a first operating state, the operating module protrudes the second electrical connecting port beyond the bearing surface to electrically connect with the first electrical connecting port.
