Seal configuration for fuel injector

A seal configuration for a fuel injector is disclosed. The seal configuration may include a seal ring within a seal groove of the fuel injector. The seal ring may be formed from a first material. The seal configuration may include a spacer ring within the seal groove of the fuel injector. The spacer ring may be formed from a second material. An outer diameter of the spacer ring may be greater than a diameter of a fuel injector bore of the fuel injector. The spacer ring may be configured to be adjacent the seal ring within the seal groove to form a seal of a fuel injector slot of an engine head of an engine, and the fuel injector slot is configured to support the fuel injector.

A device for injecting water into a combustion chamber or into an intake tract of an internal combustion engine includes a rail and at least one injection valve connected to the rail. The connection is produced by means of a rail cup, which surrounds the injection valve at the rail-side end of the injection valve. The injection valve has a feed channel open toward the rail, in which feed channel at least some portions of an insert are received in order to reduce the feed cross-section.

Fuel injector having side-fitted fuel connector for tight packaging in top-feed fuel system

A fuel injector includes an injector housing having a fuel connector, and an outer housing surface extending around a longitudinal axis of the injector housing. The outer housing surface includes a cylindrical upper section, a cylindrical lower section, and a middle section. The fuel connector defines a connector axis oriented normal to a longitudinal axis of the injector housing and extending between a first connector end attached to the middle section, and a terminal connector end radially outward of the outer housing surface and having therein a fuel inlet. The fuel connector includes an outer connector surface having an unthreaded base section, and an externally threaded end section adjacent to the terminal connector end.

Injector cup for engines apparatus and methods of use

An improved injector cup may be used in diesel engines that fits more securely into the engine's cylinder heads to better prevent engine coolant from leaking into the fuel and/or fuel leaking into the coolant. An improved injector cup may be designed to accommodate specific engine types and sizes in order to prevent engine coolant from leaking into the fuel and/or fuel leaking into the coolant.

A high pressure filter including first and second housings having complimentary tapered surfaces, a gasket located between the tapered surfaces, a filter element centrally disposed within the housings, and a compression collar fitted over the second housing and threaded onto the first housing is provided. Methods of making and using high pressure filters are also provided.

Nut and line connection

A nut, in particular a union nut for a line connection, extends along a longitudinal direction, wherein the nut has at least one expansion region. The expansion region has circumferentially one or more recesses which extend transversely and/or obliquely to the longitudinal direction.

FUEL INJECTOR

A fuel injector having an improved sealing of an intake nozzle with respect to the receiving opening of a fuel distribution rail. A support ring, which engages with the sealing ring on the intake side, is provided at the intake nozzle. The support ring includes a planar underside for resting on a shoulder of the intake nozzle and a V-shaped contact surface facing the sealing ring. The support ring, which is acted on by the sealing ring, is provided with the V-shaped conical contact surface for the sealing ring that ensures that in the case of increased pressures, a minor radial escape of the support ring is made possible to the radial inside and outside and thus radial gaps and an extruding of the sealing ring into same are prevented.

Gasket

A gasket is provided which gives stable sealing performance even when an insertion member is inclined with respect to an insertion hole. The gasket includes a body portion 121 which is to be fixed in close contact with an inner peripheral surface of an insertion hole 810 while being spaced apart from an insertion member 900, and a flexible portion 122 which is flexurally deformable and provided to extend from the body portion 121 toward an inner peripheral surface side of the body portion 121. The flexible portion 122 is flexurally bent by being pressed by an extended surface portion 920 of the insertion member 900 and comes into close contact with the extended surface portion 920 while being spaced apart from each of a housing 800 and the insertion portion 910.

Fuel nozzle

A fuel nozzle for a combustor includes a fuel body, a primary fuel passage having a primary fuel outlet, and a secondary fuel passage having a secondary fuel outlet, the secondary fuel passage being non-concentric with the primary fuel passage. The primary fuel outlet and the secondary fuel outlet are non-parallel. An axial centerline of the primary fuel outlet is angled with respect to an axial centerline of the primary fuel passage and an axial centerline of the secondary fuel outlet is colinear with an axial centerline of the secondary fuel passage. Also provided is a method of introducing non-concentric, non-parallel fuel flows to a combustor is also provided.
