Nebulizer and method for producing a nebulizer
The invention relates to a nebulizer (1) comprising an aerosol generator (6), a nebulizing chamber (5) and an outlet (16), the aerosol generator (6) being designed to release an aerosol into the nebulizing chamber (5) and the outlet (16) being designed to allow the removal of the aerosol from the nebulizing chamber (5). To achieve a high output rate, a wetting surface (2) is provided in the nebulizing chamber (5).

A system for aspirating thrombus and delivering an agent includes an aspiration catheter having a supply lumen having a proximal end, a distal end, and a wall, and an aspiration lumen having a proximal end, an open distal end, and an interior wall surface adjacent the open distal end, and at least one orifice at or adjacent the distal end of the supply lumen, in fluid communication with the aspiration lumen and located proximally of the open distal end of the aspiration lumen, wherein the at least one orifice is configured to create a spray pattern that is caused to impinge on the interior wall surface of the aspiration lumen such that the spray pattern upon impinging on the interior wall surface is caused to transform into at least a substantially distally-oriented flow capable of exiting the open distal end of the aspiration lumen.

A patient interface includes: a plenum chamber; a seal-forming structure; a positioning and stabilising structure; a plenum chamber insert configured to be positioned and retained within the plenum chamber; and a vent structure; wherein the plenum chamber insert has a plenum chamber insert port; wherein the plenum chamber insert has an exterior surface configured to be positioned adjacent to an interior surface of the plenum chamber; wherein when the plenum chamber insert is positioned and retained within the plenum chamber, a radial channel is formed by the interior surface of the plenum chamber and the exterior surface of the plenum chamber insert such that gas is able to pass between a patient-proximal side plenum chamber insert and a patient-distal side of the plenum chamber insert via the radial channel during use.
Valved enteral administration assembly
An enteral administration assembly for administering fluids through an enteral device. The administration assembly comprising an inlet, an outlet, and a valve mechanism between the inlet and outlet. The inlet is configured to interlock with only an enteral device to form a sealed connection allowing the passage of fluid between the enteral device and the inlet. The assembly may include a valve or turbulating mechanism comprising a valve and at least one turbulator adapted to change the direction of fluid flowing through the assembly to prevent clogging and flocculation of administered substances.
Wound exudate monitor accessory
A stand-alone system for assessing wound exudates from the wound of a patient is described. The system contains functionality to detect, process and report various wound parameters. The system also may make treatment determinations based on these findings. The system may detect one or more physiological values of the wound exudates from the wound of the patient. The system may also compare detected physiological values to predetermined physiological values, in order to obtain a comparison result in real time. The system may include a processor (15) which provides an electronic signal based on the comparison result in which the electronic signal may corresponds to guidelines for treating the wound (3). The system described may be an accessory, which may be used on its own, or in conjunction with other wound treatment devices (9).
Vapor provision apparatus
A vapor provision apparatus including a vapor generation chamber containing a vaporizer for generating vapor from a vapor precursor material; and an air channel wall defining an air channel between the vapor generation chamber and a vapor outlet at a mouthpiece end of the vapor provision apparatus through which a user can inhale vapor during use; wherein an inner surface of the air channel wall is provided with at least one protrusion extending into the air channel to modify (redirect) a flow of air in the air channel during use. For example, the at least one protrusion may be arranged to define one or more portions of a helical wall extending into the air channel so as to impart a degree of rotation about an axis of extent of the air channel to air flowing in the air channel during use.
Humidifier for respiratory apparatus
A humidifier for a respiratory apparatus includes a first cover, a second cover engaged with the first cover and a partition plate. The first cover defines an air inlet. The second cover defines a chamber configured to contain at least some amount of water. A heater is configured to heat the water to generate humidified air in the chamber. The partition plate is partly sandwiched between the first cover and the second cover. The partition plate defines an air outlet. Air input via the air inlet is humidified by being mixed with the humidified air and thereafter ejected through the air outlet. The air entering via the air inlet is divided by the partition plate into a plurality of flows having different flow velocities, thereby form a plurality of flow paths.

Medical treatment apparatus and water reservoir for same
A water reservoir includes a water reservoir base configured to hold a volume of water to be used for humidification of pressurized breathable air, a water reservoir lid connected to the water reservoir base, and a compressible resilient portion configured to seal between the water reservoir base and the water reservoir lid. The base and the lid are movable relative to one another when connected whilst maintaining sealing therebetween due to the compressible resilient portion. A retainer is configured to secure the water reservoir to a water reservoir dock, and has a protrusion or recess to releasably engage one another when the water reservoir is received in the dock, with a reaction force to compression of the compressible resilient portion urging the protrusion and the recess into engagement with one another.
