Smoke evacuation device with fluid storage for laparoscopic surgery
11911071 · 2024-02-27 · ·

Proposed is a smoke evacuation device with fluid storage for laparoscopic surgery that can easily filter fluid produced during an operation. According to the smoke evacuation device with fluid storage, water produced in a main body cannot flow back to a filter, so the performance of the filter is not deteriorated and noxious fluid flowing into the main body can be easily filtered out.

One aspect of the present invention relates to an inhaler which is capable of generating super fine particle which has a uniform particle size and has a core-shell structure in which the core comprises a first liquid substance to be sprayed and the shell comprises a second liquid substance to be sprayed. According to this aspect, the present invention can spray superfine particles of liquid medicine and the like with a uniform particle size, and can perform coating for sustained release and the like for the superfine particles.

Processes for delivery of viscous drug therapies

Core annular flow is used to enable the subcutaneous delivery of a viscous fluid such as a protein therapeutic formulation. The high-viscosity fluid is surrounded by a low-viscosity fluid, and the low-viscosity fluid lubricates the passage of the high-viscosity fluid. This allows the use of protein formulations that have a higher concentration and a higher viscosity at comparatively reduced injection forces and reduced injection times. Several different embodiments of injection devices that provide core annular flow are described herein.

CYCLONIC APPARATUS AND METHOD

A cyclonic apparatus having an inlet and an outlet comprises a first cyclone chamber having a first cyclone inlet, a first reduced-pressure inlet forming or in fluid connection with the cyclonic-apparatus inlet, and a first outlet forming the cyclonic-apparatus outlet. The first cyclone chamber is operable to establish a cyclonic flow of fluid between the first cyclone inlet and the first outlet in response to fluid being drawn from the first outlet, so as to create a first reduced-pressure zone of fluid at the first reduced-pressure inlet. A drug delivery device in which a source of a medicament is coupled to the cyclonic-apparatus inlet of a cyclonic apparatus.

THERMAL MODULATION OF AN INHALABLE MEDICAMENT
20190314586 · 2019-10-17 ·

A thermally modulating inhalable medicament delivery device may deliver an inhalable medicament as an aerosol, vapor, or partial aerosol and partial vapor mixture. The inhalable medicament may be delivered to a target in a subject. Described herein are devices, systems, and methods for delivering an inhalable medicament to a subject.

FLOW REGULATING INHALER DEVICE

An inhaler device for pulmonary delivery of at least one substance from a drug dose cartridge to an inhaling user, including: a first conduit for conducting a carrier airflow to a proximal opening of a mouthpiece for use by the user; a holder configured to position the dose cartridge within the carrier airflow; and a second conduit for conducting a shunting airflow to the mouthpiece without passing through the dose cartridge position. In some embodiments, a controller connected to a valve controls a rate of carrier airflow, for example by controlling the shunting airflow, based on a sensor indication of airflow rate and a target airflow profile.

METHODS AND DEVICES FOR SMOKING URGE RELIEF

Provided herein are methods, devices, systems, and computer readable medium for delivering one or more compounds to a subject. Also described herein are methods, devices, systems, and computer readable medium for transitioning a smoker to an electronic nicotine delivery device and for smoking or nicotine urge relief.

Aerosol unit

The present disclosure provides an aerosol unit for an aerosol dispenser. The aerosol unit includes an axially oriented body, having a distal inlet part and a proximal outlet part. The aerosol unit also includes a carrier member arranged in the body, transversally to the axis between the inlet part and the outlet part. The carrier member includes through-holes which place the inlet part in fluid communication with the outlet part, and the carrier member is insert-moulded into the body such that a contact surface between the carrier and the body forms an air-tight seal.

Aerosol generator for generating an inhalation aerosol

An aerosol generator for generating an inhalation aerosol from an inhalation liquid, includes an intake duct for guiding air to a mouth of a user, and a nozzle, arranged in the intake duct for injecting the inhalation liquid into the intake duct. The nozzle is arranged for generating a Rayleigh droplet train of the inhalation liquid propagating along a droplet train propagation path. The intake duct includes at least two first orifices having at least partly opposing discharging directions extending towards the droplet train propagation path. The at least two first orifices are configured for providing respective first air streams in at least partly opposing directions so as to interact in the droplet train propagation path.
