A medical pole 1 has a movable base 103 supporting a pole member 3. The movable base 103 a frame 105 and two or more wheels. A first wheel 111 has a first mode in which the first wheel 111 is swivelable about a respective upright axis relative to the frame and is rollable about a respective transverse axis, and a second mode in which the first wheel 111 is rollable about the respective transverse axis but is non-swivelable about the respective upright axis. The first wheel 111 is configurable between the first mode and the second mode.

Wire Holder for Sterile Field
20230059137 · 2023-02-23 ·

A wire manager for managing wires in a sterile field includes a base that is planar and has a width, a depth, and a height and has a sticky material disposed on a first side for temporarily adhering the base to a surface of the sterile field. There are capture loops stacked and depending from an edge of a second side of the base and separators that are planar, an edge of each separator is connected to one of the capture loops. Each of the separators is flexible and resilient. In some embodiments, each of the separators has a separator width that is equal to the width of the base, and each of the separators has a separator depth that is less than the depth of the base.

Bodily Soothing Assembly
20230059311 · 2023-02-23 ·

A bodily soothing assembly for gently stroking a user includes a base that is positionable on a support surface. A sleeve is coupled to and extends upwardly from the base. A line extends outwardly from the sleeve and the line is comprised of a resilient material thereby facilitating the line to extend downwardly from the elbow in an arc. A massager is coupled to the line such that the massager is suspended from the sleeve. In this way the massager can rest on a user that is lying near the base. A rotation unit is integrated into the base and the rotation unit twists the line when the rotation unit is turned on thereby facilitating the massager to be rotated. In this way the massager can gently massage the user for soothing the user.

Gas recirculation system and method

Gas recirculation systems for use in endoscopic surgical procedures including a gas recirculation pump are disclosed. The gas recirculation pump may work in conjunction with an insufflator used to inflate a patient's peritoneal cavity during surgery. The gas recirculation system may recirculate a high flow rate of gas from and to the patient while filtering particulate matter out of the gas and while maintaining an adequate moisture content in the gas. The gas recirculation pump may include a disposable pump cartridge releasably connected to a pump motor. A controller may detect a fault or safety condition in the gas recirculation system based on the load placed on the pump motor.

Suction canister and corresponding systems and methods

A canister lid (101) for a canister (102) includes an annular perimeter (103) surrounding an interior portion (104). Rather than completely surrounding the interior portion, the annular perimeter is instead interrupted by a suction conduit (112) defined by a suction conduit (112) separating a first lobe (117) and a second lobe (118). The suction conduit (112) intersects the annular perimeter such that the first lobe is disposed interior of the annular perimeter while the second lobe is disposed exterior to the annular perimeter. The canister lid can further include one or more ports (110,111) extending from the interior portion. A canister (102) can include a valve (401) and can optionally be coupled to a hub mount vacuum source (1200) or a hub mount stand (1800).

DIGITAL TWIN OF LUNG THAT IS CALIBRATED AND UPDATED WITH MECHANICAL VENTILATOR DATA AND BED-SIDE IMAGING INFORMATION FOR SAFE MECHANICAL VENTILATION

A mechanical ventilation device comprising at least one electronic controller configured to receive imaging data and transpulmonary pressure data associated with a lung of a patient; perform deformable image registration of the inhalation image and the exhalation image to produce a relative compliance or elasticity map of the lungs; convert the relative compliance or elasticity map of the lungs to a quantitative compliance or elasticity map of the lungs based on the inhale transpulmonary pressure and the exhale transpulmonary pressure; and display the information relating to or derived from the quantitative compliance or elasticity map on a display device.

Peritoneal dialysis machine

A peritoneal dialysis machine having a machine housing and having a heating receiver as well as having a plurality of solution bags is provided. The peritoneal dialysis machine furthermore has a hose set which is connected to the solution bags, wherein the plurality of solution bags are arranged in the heating pan and wherein the hose set does not have any heating bag into which the liquid draining from the solution bags runs.

Waste collection system with controllers for regulating levels of vacuum drawn on a waste container

A waste collection system for collecting medical/surgical waste. A mobile rover includes at least one waste container supported on the mobile rover for storing the medical/surgical waste. A chassis is separate from and configured be removably coupled with the mobile rover. The chassis supports a chassis controller and a vacuum pump configured to draw a vacuum on the waste container. A rover controller is supported on the mobile rover and configured to receive a pressure signal representative of a level of the vacuum. The chassis controller is configured to be in communication with the rover controller and to regulate the level of the vacuum drawn based on the pressure signal. A transmitter may be supported on the mobile rover and in communication with the rover controller, and a receiver may be supported on the chassis to be in communication with the transmitter to establish a communication circuit for data transfer.

Self-righting device for a medicament delivery device vertical positioning
11484661 · 2022-11-01 · ·

A self-righting device is disclosed having a support body for supporting a medicament delivery device, where the support body has a mass, a center of gravity (G) and a shape such that the self-righting device, when positioned on a substantially horizontal surface, moves from an unbalanced position to an upright position. The self-righting device can also have a mechanical adaptor configured for attachment to the support body and for holding an elongated medicament delivery device at an angle less than 30 degrees from a vertical axis when the self-righting device is in the upright position. An assembly of a self-righting device and an elongated medicament delivery device is also provided.

Systems and Methods for Generating Nitric Oxide

Systems and methods for nitric oxide generation are provided. In an embodiment, an NO generation system can include a controller and disposable cartridge that can provide nitric oxide to two different treatments simultaneously. The disposable cartridge has multiple purposes including preparing incoming gases for exposure to the NO generation process, scrubbing exhaust gases for unwanted materials, characterizing the patient inspiratory flow, and removing moisture from sample gases collected. Plasma generation can be done within the cartridge or within the controller. The system has the capability of calibrating NO and NO.sub.2 gas analysis sensors without the use of a calibration gas.
