A mask can comprise a covering material that is sufficiently sized to extend over a mouth and a nose on a head of a wearer. The covering material can have an outer surface and an inner surface. The covering material can define an opening therethrough. At least one transparent membrane can be coupled to the covering material and cover the opening in the covering material. The at least one transparent membrane can define a hole therethrough. An elongate conduit can define an interior passage having a central axis. The elongate conduit can be coupled to the at least one transparent membrane so that the central axis of the interior passage is aligned with the hole. The mask can further comprise at least one securing element for securing the mask to the head of the wearer.

PATIENT INTERFACE

A patient interface is disclosed that includes: a plenum chamber pressurisable to a therapeutic pressure; a seal-forming structure joined to the plenum chamber and comprising a nasal portion, an oral portion, and at least one hole configured to deliver a flow of air at said therapeutic pressure to at least the patients nares in use, the seal-forming structure constructed and arranged to maintain said therapeutic pressure in the plenum chamber throughout the patients respiratory cycle in use; a vent comprising a plurality of holes configured to allow a continuous vent flow from an interior of the plenum chamber to ambient; a positioning and stabilising structure comprising at least one tie and being configured to hold the seal-forming structure in a therapeutically effective position on the patient's head in use; and a textile portion configured to contact the patients face.

Pressure-controlling device, and pressure-using apparatus

A pressure-controlling device (10) includes a pump (21), a connection pipe (30), a first valve (41), and a second valve (42). The pump (21) has an inlet port (211) and an outlet port (212). The connection pipe (30) has a first end in communication with the outlet port (212), and a second end in communication with the inlet port (211) and that has a first space (31) that contains the first end, a second space (32) that contains the second end, and a third space (33) that is located between the first space (31) and the second space (32).

Method of treating deviated nasal septum, enlarged nasal turbinate, or mucosal hypertrophy

A method includes inserting a first dilation catheter into a first nostril of a patient. A first dilator of the first dilation catheter is positioned between the nasal septum of the patient and the turbinate of the patient. The first dilator is expanded, thereby remodeling one or more of the nasal septum, the turbinate, or mucosal tissue of the patient. The first dilation catheter is removed from the nostril of the patient. A second dilation catheter may be inserted into a second nostril of the patient. A dilator of the second dilation catheter may provide an opposing force on the nasal septum to prevent over-medialization of the nasal septum.

Capnography tube fitting
11696996 · 2023-07-11 · ·

Provided herein is a capnography fitting for use in a capnography system wherein the capnography fitting is configured to fit inhalation masks of various sizes and shapes so that viable carbon dioxide readings can be obtained from an air sample obtained from a patient's exhaled gas. The fitting includes a rigid tube having a proximal end inlet configured to receive an inhalation gas and to slidably engage a mixed gas fitting, and a distal end outlet configured to slidably engage directly to an inlet of an inhalation mask configured to cover a nose and/or mouth. The tube also includes an angled port in fluid communication with and disposed adjacent to the proximal end inlet or the distal end outlet. Methods and kits are also provided.

Mask system

A mask system for delivery of respiratory therapy to a patient includes a nares portion and a mouth portion and an inlet conduit connected to at least one of the nares portion and the mouth portion to deliver the pressurized, breathable gas. The mask system is adapted to selectively utilize the nares portion and/or the mouth portion in a first mode utilizing both the nares portion and the mouth portion, and in a second mode utilizing the nares portion and not utilizing the mouth portion.

SWIVEL ELBOW AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR PATIENT INTERFACE SYSTEMS

A patient interface includes a cushion configured to sealingly engage the patient's face, a support structure configured to support the cushion, the support structure being more rigid than the cushion, a plenum chamber formed at least in part by the cushion, and a connector configured to convey the pressurized respiratory gas to the plenum chamber. The connector includes a first portion formed from a first material and adapted to removably connect to the support structure. A plurality of vent holes are formed on the first portion. The connector also includes a continuous flexible portion that is formed from a second material, is more flexible than the first portion, and is configured to flex to permit engagement and disengagement of the first portion. The continuous flexible portion comprises a pair of opposing release buttons that are configured to be inwardly flexed to allow release of the connector from the support structure.

Guide catheter and method of use

A system for manipulating a guide catheter within a patient's nasal passages or sinus cavities includes a guide catheter formed from an elongate flexible member having a lumen passing there through. A wire guide is slidably disposed within the lumen of the guide catheter. The system further includes a steering member fixedly secured to a proximal end of the wire guide and a proximal hub secured to a proximal end of the guide catheter. The system further includes a recessed handle having a first recess for fixedly receiving the proximal hub of the guide catheter and a second recess for receiving the steering member, the second recess being dimensioned to permit axial and rotational movement of the steering member while disposed in the second recess.

Systems and methods for nasal irrigation
