Device for registering an on state of a drive motor or a tool, and system

A device registers an On state of a drive motor of a tool. A changing magnetic flux is produced in the On state of the drive motor. First and second peak hold detectors generate upper and lower peak signals from induced voltage output signals. An evaluation device is configured to form a difference from the generated upper peak signal and the generated lower peak signal, and compare the formed difference with an adjustable threshold value in order to determine the On state of the drive motor when the threshold value is reached or exceeded.

Two-dimensional igniter for testing in-cylinder gas velocity and/or gas composition

An igniter system for measuring gas velocity and/or gas composition within the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The igniter has an insulator body and conductive shell around the top portion of the insulator body, configured so that the igniter can be installed in place of a conventional spark plug. The igniter has two pairs of electrodes, each pair of electrodes providing a spark gap and operable to generate a spark within the combustion chamber. An activation and measurement unit is operable to generate a sustained arc in each spark gap, and to measure the voltage, current and capacitance in a measurement circuit associated with each spark gap. From various electrical measurements, the velocity and composition of the gas in the combustion chamber can be determined.

The invention relates to a method and a device for igniting a gas-fuel mixture, in particular in internal combustion engines, wherein at least one gas discharge gap bounded by two electrodes is ignited by means of a high voltage, which is produced by an ignition circuit and applied to the gas discharge gap. After the breakdown of the gas discharge gap, the current through the gas discharge gap is controlled by a control circuit in such a way that the gas discharge lies in the abnormal glow range, in which the voltage across the gas discharge gap rises for currents greater than 0.1 A having a positive slope. The current through the gas discharge gap is controlled in such a way that said current lies between 0.1 A and 10 A, preferably is greater than 0.1 A and less than or equal to 3 A, more preferably lies between 0.5 A and 1 A, wherein the voltage lies between 250 V and 3000 V, preferably between 500 V and 2000 V. The duration of the current flow through the gas discharge gap or the period of the current flow through the gas discharge gap is controlled in such a way that said duration or period lies between 0.01 s and 50 s, preferably between 0.1 s and 10 s.

A detection device for vehicle ignition system includes a body with a first IC circuit board received therein which is electrically connected with a power source. A probe connected to the body and is electrically connected to a ground line and the first IC circuit board. The body has a connection hole, a power switch for activating the detection device, an activation switch, a first display unit and a second display unit. The ground line is connected with a metal part of a vehicle to form a loop. When the probe contacts the coil, the ignition voltage signal of the coil is detected and displayed on the first display unit, and the combustion time signal of the coil is detected and displayed on the second unit. By the two signals, the maintainers are acknowledged the operation condition of the ignition system of the vehicle.
