Method of deliverying gonadotropin releasing hormone or an analogue thereof into a lumen of the intestinal tract using a swallowable drug delivery device
Embodiments of the invention provide swallowable devices, preparations and methods for delivering drugs and other therapeutic agents within the GI tract. Many embodiments provide a swallowable device for delivering the agents. Particular embodiments provide a swallowable device such as a capsule for delivering drugs into the intestinal wall or other GI lumen. Embodiments also provide various drug preparations that are configured to be contained within the capsule, advanced from the capsule into the intestinal wall and degrade to release the drug into the bloodstream to produce a therapeutic effect. The preparation can be operably coupled to delivery means having a first configuration where the preparation is contained in the capsule and a second configuration where the preparation is advanced out of the capsule into the intestinal wall. Embodiments of the invention are particularly useful for the delivery of drugs which are poorly absorbed, tolerated and/or degraded within the GI tract.
Medical tube unclogging system and related method
A device is provided for unclogging an enteral tube including a first length of tubing, the distal end of which is fitted with a connector for connecting to an enteral feeding tube and the proximal end of which is fitted with a connector that is not compatible with an enteral feeding tube. An anti-reflux valve is situated in the first length of tubing and allows fluid flow only towards the distal end thereof. A second length of tubing has a proximal end connected to the first length of tubing at a position between the proximal end of the first length of tubing and the directional valve. A pressure relief valve is situated in the second length of tubing. A method is provided for utilizing the device to clear a clogged enteral tube.
Vacuum system and endoscopy arrangement for endoscopic vacuum therapy
A vacuum system is described for endoscopic intracavity, intraluminal or intracorporeal vacuum therapy, for aspirating body fluids, wound secretions or gases from a hollow volume, such as a body cavity, a hollow organ, a tissue abscess or an intestinal lumen, particularly in the production of a temporary endoscopic closure of an intestinal lumen. Based on this, many embodiments of an endoscopy arrangement are described.

A method and device for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal allergy. The method and the device expose a surface to at least one antigen at a fixed depth. The device includes an application point each having an antigen allowing for the application of the antigen to the surface at a fixed depth. The device may include multiple applications points each with an antigen for simultaneously applying the antigens to the surface.
Illuminated gastric tubes and methods of use
A gastric tube for use in a bariatric surgical procedure includes an elongate tube and an anchor. The elongate tube has a proximal end portion and a distal end portion and defines a lumen along a length thereof. The proximal end portion defines an opening in communication with the lumen. The elongate tube includes a blunt tip, a light source, and an outer surface. The blunt tip is formed on the distal end portion and is at least partially transparent. The light source is in communication with the blunt tip for illuminating at least the blunt tip. The outer surface extends between the proximal and distal end portions and defines a side opening in communication with the lumen.
RAPID EXCHANGE ENTERAL STENT DELIVERY SYSTEM
Devices for palliating gastrointestinal strictures using rapid exchange type enteral stent placement catheters. The catheter may include an inner member and an outer member, with the two members being slidable with respect to one another. In various device embodiments, a ramp for directing a guidewire out from within the catheter is provided using portions of the outer member or a shaped mandrel. The inner member may take a number of forms, including a tubular distal portion, a skived or integrally attached elongate midsection, and a proximal portion. A mandrel can be used in a portion proximal of the guidewire ramp, with the mandrel taking one of several disclosed forms.

The ingestible devices can deliver therapeutic agents in a safe, effective, and reliable manner. The disclosure also provides pharmaceutical compositions for use in methods of treating a disease or condition in a subject in need thereof.

The plurality of lumens are fluidly coupled to one or more of the propellant source and at least one of the plurality of containers, and a first lumen surrounds, is coaxial with, or is side-by-side with, at least one other lumen.
Opioid overdose rescue device
An opioid overdose rescue device is provided that includes an ingestible capsule. Within the ingestible capsule is a non-refillable drug dispenser comprising an opioid antidote and at least one sensor configured to detect at least one physiological parameter indicative of an opioid overdose. A controller is also contained within the ingestible capsule and is operatively coupled to the drug dispenser and the least one sensor. The controller is configured to receive a signal detected by the least one sensor of the at least one physiological parameter to actuate release of the opioid antidote from the drug dispenser into the intestine of the patient upon a determination that the at least one physiological parameter falls outside a threshold value or range for the at least one physiological parameter indicating that an opioid overdose has been detected.
