Said at least one membrane (20, 120, 220), when in the retracted configuration, adheres to the valve wall (29, 129, 229) of the intake valve (26, 126, 226) and the intake valve has the outlet mouth closed.

Hydraulic fluid control system for a diaphragm pump

A hydraulic fluid control system for a hydraulic diaphragm pump including at least one hydraulic diaphragm containing a process fluid surrounded by at least one hydraulic fluid chamber containing a hydraulic fluid is provided. The system includes a differential pressure sensor operable to detect and measure a pressure difference between the process fluid contained in the at least one hydraulic diaphragm and the hydraulic fluid contained in the at least one hydraulic fluid chamber; a hydraulic fluid reservoir containing hydraulic fluid; and a hydraulic fluid pump fluidly connected to the hydraulic fluid reservoir and the at least one hydraulic fluid chamber, and operable to provide a volume of hydraulic fluid to the at least one hydraulic fluid chamber in response to the pressure difference measured by the differential pressure sensor. The system is optionally operable to withdraw a volume of hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic fluid chamber.

A fluid handling cassette, such as that useable with an automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) cycler device or other infusion apparatus, may include a generally planar body having at least one pump chamber formed as a depression in a first side of the body and a plurality of flowpaths for a fluid that includes a channel. A patient line port may be arranged for connection to a patient line and be in fluid communication with the at least one pump chamber via at least a first one of said flowpaths, and an optional membrane may be attached to the first side of the body over the at least one pump chamber. In one embodiment, the membrane may have a pump chamber portion with an unstressed shape that generally conforms to the depression of the at least one pump chamber in the body and is arranged to be movable for movement of the fluid in a useable space of the at least one pump chamber. One or more spacers may be provided in the at least one pump chamber to prevent the membrane from contacting an inner wall of the at least one pump chamber. The patient line, a drain line, and/or a heater bag line may be positioned to be separately occludable in relation to one or more solution lines that are connectable to the cassette.

Apparatus for infusing fluid

A pump for pumping fluid includes a tube platen, a plunger, a bias member, inlet and outlet valves, an actuator mechanism, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger is configured for actuation toward and away from the infusion-tube when the tube platen is disposed opposite to the plunger. The tube platen can hold an intravenous infusion tube. The bias member is configured to urge the plunger toward the tube platen.

The conveying element is embodied in a spring-elastic fashion, wherein the conveying element, following a deformation, automatically seeks to re-assume a basic shape, in particular a convexly curved basic shape of the conveying element, wherein, for a conveyance of a fluid, the conveying element is movable, starting from a convex curvature, which is oriented in a direction facing away from the conveying space element, towards the conveying space element, wherein at least the conveying space element and the conveying element together form an exchangeable unit.

INFUSION PUMP

The present invention is provided to suppress occurrence of free flow. An infusion pump includes: a sliding clamp closing and releasing an infusion tube; a pump body including a tube attachment portion to which the infusion tube is to be attached detachably and forcibly transferring liquid in the infusion tube; and a door pivotably supported by the pump body so that the tube attachment portion is openable and closable by the door. The pump body includes: a clamp attachment portion into which the sliding clamp having the infusion tube set therein is to be inserted and set; and a release operator being operated in the clamp attachment portion to transfer the sliding clamp from a close mode to a release mode, the release operator being configured to be locked, in response to opening movement of the door, so that the release operator is inoperable for releasing, and to be unlocked in response to closing movement of the door.
