A single-entry screw pump with a housing which has an inlet and an outlet for a medium to be pumped, with two spindles which are rotatably mounted in the housing in slide bearings, the spindles each have a screw thread on their outer circumference between the slide bearings, the screw threads of the spindles engage with one another and convey the medium from the inlet to the outlet, the housing has a sleeve section in which the screw threads of the spindles are positioned, the sleeve section has a suction-side inlet opening and a pressure-side outlet opening, wherein the media flow from the inlet to the inlet opening is guided along the pressure-side slide bearing in a hydraulically equalising manner and from the outlet opening to the outlet along the suction-side slide bearing.

Fluid compressor and fuel cell vehicle

An air compressor as a fluid compressor includes: a suction port and a delivery port provided at upper and lower portions, respectively, of a pump chamber; a suction passage in communication with the inside of the pump chamber via the suction port; a delivery passage in communication with the inside of the pump chamber via the delivery port; and a driving rotor and a driven rotor provided in the pump chamber. At least a part of the suction passage is located below the suction port.

Variable displacement vane pump

A vane pump includes a rotor, vanes, pump chambers, a suction port, and a discharge port. The side member has a first transition section and a second transition section. The first transition section is a section from an end point of the suction port to a start point of the discharge port. The second transition section is a section from an end point of the discharge port to a start point of the suction port. An angle between the start point and the end point of the suction port is set such that a pressurizing timing is offset from a depressurizing timing. The pressurizing timing is a timing at which one pump chamber starts to communicate with the discharge port from the first transition section, and the depressurizing timing is a timing at which another pump chamber starts to communicate with the suction port from the second transition section.

Screw pump

A screw spindle pump for the delivery of fluid media with a pump housing having an inlet channel with a first longitudinal axis, an outlet channel with a second longitudinal axis, a first drive spindle with a third longitudinal axis, and a second driven spindle. The spindles each include a profiled section between the inlet channel and the outlet channel, wherein the profiled sections of the spindles are engaged at least partially with one another and form, with the pump housing between the inlet channel and the outlet channel, a delivery section parallel to the longitudinal axis of the drive spindle with delivery chambers for the fluid medium. The second longitudinal axis of the outlet channel is disposed at an obtuse angle to the delivery section in the pump housing. The invention also relates to a method for operating a screw spindle pump.

Flow channeling structure

A rotary pump for delivering fluid includes: a pump housing having a low-pressure inlet and a high-pressure outlet for the fluid to be delivered; and a delivery rotor rotatable about a rotational axis in the pump housing and including a rotor base body and multiple deliverers distributed over the circumference of the rotor base body for delivering fluid from the low-pressure inlet to the high-pressure outlet. When the delivery rotor rotates, the radial and axial outer edges of the deliverers define a delivery region of the pump. The pump includes a flow channeling structure protruding axially into the low-pressure inlet in relation to the rotational axis of the delivery rotor from the pump housing wall in order to influence fluid flowing in the low-pressure inlet. The flow channeling structure arranged axially next to the delivery region and overlaps at least in portions with the delivery region in the radial direction.

Rotary piston compressor/pump/blower with a ventilation channel

A rotary piston compressor/pump/blower includes a housing spatially limiting a working chamber, an intake connection for guiding fluid into the working chamber, a pressure connection for guiding the fluid out of the working chamber, and a rotor assembly having a first rotor rotatably arranged in a first working sub-chamber and a second rotor cooperating with the first rotor and rotatably arranged in a second working sub-chamber. The rotary piston compressor/pump/blower also includes a ventilation channel, formed in the housing and connected to the working chamber via a ventilation channel opening, for the temporally limited introducing of air into the working chamber, wherein the ventilation channel opening is open at least in sections, in particular completely open, in a compression phase.

System and Method for Improved Performance of Gerotor Compressors and Expanders

A system and method are presented for improved performance of gerotor compressors and expanders. Certain aspects of the disclosure reduce porting losses in a gerotor system. Other aspects of the disclosure provide for reduced deflection in lobes of an outer rotor of a gerotor system. Still other aspects of the disclosure provide for reduced leakage through tight gaps between components of a gerotor system.
