Edible organic compounds which can serve as food or feed, or as components of food or feed, are synthesized from oxidized carbon and water, through the input of energy, and using well-known and validated synthesis pathways, leading to free fatty acids and optionally esterified to triglycerides. The source of carbon is preferably CO.sub.2 from the atmosphere, or more preferably point sources of CO.sub.2 from industry and/or energy production.

Lipid extraction methods are described which include use of a use of a first immiscible liquid and a second immiscible liquid. Compositions including insect eggs, feedstocks, and breeding materials are described.

Biochars, biochar extracts and biochar extracts having soluble signaling compounds and method for capturing material extracted from biochar
A method for capturing material extracted from biochar is provided comprising the steps of: (i) providing a biochar; (ii) contacting the biochar with an extraction media, where the extraction media causes the removal of residual compounds from the pores and surface of the biochar, creating a resulting extract comprised of the extraction media and removed compounds; and (iii) collecting the resulting extract. The method also can include other steps of extraction and purification. The method further comprises the step of applying the resulting extract to seeds, plants, soil, other agricultural products, or for use in other applications. A biochar having high levels of soluble signaling compounds is also provided, where the biochar is derived from a biomass source that together with predefined pyrolysis parameters produces resulting biochar having increased levels of soluble signaling compounds that are known to increase seed germination rates and early plant growth. Such soluble signaling compounds can then be collected in a biochar extract by contacting the biochar with an extraction media.

CIRCULAR INTEGRATED ECOLOGICAL BREEDING AND PLANTING SYSTEM
A circular integrated ecological breeding and planting system including a plurality of units capable of growing vegetables, producing worms, breeding and raising chickens, and growing seaweed is provided to collectively construct a simplified simulated food. It not only unifies the lower and upper ecological food chains, but also minimizes pollution and undesirable waste. The system is particularly suitable for enclosed and intensive production within a single enclosed building to greatly reduce the production cost. This proposed eco-agricultural model has applications beyond its current configuration and can be applied to grow other plants, and to breed and raise other animals in the future.

CANNABOSIDE COMPOSITION AND METHOD TO PRODUCE
A composition comprising one or more cannabosides, cannabinoid metabolites, or a combination thereof produced by an animal which has been fed a feedstock comprising one or more cannabinoids. A method to produce the compositions and articles comprising the composition are also disclosed.
