An assembly for detecting wear of a vane of a rotary vane pump, the assembly comprising: a vane configured to be mounted in a radial slot of a rotor of a rotary vane pump, the vane having a vane body of non-electrically conductive material, the vane body configured to, in use, extend from the slot to contact an electrically earthed housing of the rotor; the vane being provided with a marking having at least one characteristic that varies in the radial direction; the assembly further comprising a sensing device fixed relative to the housing and arranged to read the marking at a predetermined radial distance from the housing, whereby the characteristic of the marking that is read by the sensing device is indicative of wear of the vane.

A pump for pumping a liquid food product, the pump comprising a housing, an impeller arranged to rotate inside the housing, a star wheel arranged to be driven by the impeller, and a base unit to which the star wheel is connected, the base unit being movable in a longitudinal direction, from a closed position, to an open position. An adjustment device is configured to adjustably set a position of the base unit in the longitudinal direction to thereby, when the base unit is in the closed position, provide in the longitudinal direction a predetermined adjusted distance between the impeller and the star wheel and/or between the impeller and the base unit.

The hydraulic control valve includes a sleeve and a spool valve that moves in the sleeve, and is configured to change a pump capacity by controlling an oil pressure by moving a spool valve between one end portion and the other end portion in the sleeve. The control device for the hydraulic control valve includes: a drive control unit that controls driving of the spool valve; and a determination unit that determines whether or not clogging of a foreign matter exists between a sleeve and the spool valve, and determines a position of the clogging of the foreign matter in a case where the foreign matter exists between a sleeve and the spool valve, and determines a position of the clogging of a foreign matter in a case where the clogging of a foreign matter exists.
