Variable Displacement Pump
A variable displacement pump is provided which better distributes stress across the rotor structure thereby reducing the risk of the rotor cracking and/or failing. The variable displacement pump includes a housing, a vane control ring, a rotor, a plurality of vanes, a slider ring, a biasing means, and a regulator valve. The housing defines an inlet port and a discharge port. The rotor may be rotationally driven by a drive shaft and coaxially aligned with the drive shaft. The rotor may define a plurality of primary ribs and a plurality of corresponding secondary ribs with an aperture defined between each primary rib and secondary rib. Each primary rib defines a primary rib thickness and each secondary rib defines a secondary rib thickness which is less than the primary rib thickness.
PUMP RIPPLE PRESSURE MONITORING FOR INCOMPRESSIBLE FLUID SYSTEMS
Systems and methods are disclosed of monitoring performance of an incompressible fluid system. The system has a positive displacement pump and a high bandwidth pressure sensor. A method comprises sensing a pressure of the fluid with the pressure sensor, determining pump ripple frequency and hence the speed of the positive displacement pump, calculating the pump flow rate, determining a flow restriction of the fluid system based on the pressure and flow, and assessing or trending the fluid system flow restriction.
REFRIGERANT BYPASS SOLUTION
Systems, methods, and computer-readable mediums are provided for improving the efficiency of a filter-type oil separator in a cooling system including a compressor that pumps a mixture of lubricating oil and refrigerant through the filter-type oil separator. The filter type oil separator is configured to receive a first portion of the mixture from the compressor, and a bypass line is configured to bypass a second portion of the mixture around the filter-type oil separator. The bypass line ensures a sufficient amount of oil is present in the compressor.
Scroll compressor including discharge guide to quicken discharge refrigerant flow movement
A scroll compressor includes a discharge guide disposed in a high-pressure part to guide refrigerant discharged from a compression part to a refrigerant discharge pipe, and the discharge guide may extend by a preset height from an inner circumferential surface of a casing constituting the high-pressure part toward one side surface of a high and low pressure separation plate. This can guide discharge refrigerant discharged to the high-pressure part to quickly flow to the refrigerant discharge pipe before being spread in an entire space of the high-pressure part, thereby preventing the high and low pressure separation plate from being overheated by discharge refrigerant of high temperature. This can result in preventing suction refrigerant of a low-pressure part from being heated by heat of discharge refrigerant transferred through the high and low pressure separation plate, thereby reducing a specific volume of the suction refrigerant and improving compressor efficiency.
IMPROVED LIQUID RING PUMP
Liquid Ring pumps are inherently inefficient due to energy losses caused by friction, the present invention overcomes this by providing a coating on certain surfaces of the pump to limit the friction.
PUMP APPARATUS, TEST OPERATION METHOD OF PUMP APPARATUS, MOTOR ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING ABNORMAL VIBRATION OF MOTOR ASSEMBLY
There is disclosed a pump apparatus which can more accurately determine the occurrence of an abnormal vibration. The pump apparatus includes: a pump; an electric motor for driving the pump; an inverter as a speed changing means for the electric motor; a vibration detector for detecting at least one of a vibration of the pump, a vibration of the electric motor and a vibration of the inverter; and a controller for controlling the pump. The controller includes a storage unit for storing a measured vibration value measured by the vibration detector. The storage unit has a storage table which, when the rotational speed of the pump is increased stepwise to a predetermined rotational speed, stores the measured vibration value measured at each step.
SURGICAL EVACUATION SENSING AND DISPLAY
Surgical systems can include evacuation systems for evacuating smoke, fluid, and/or particulates from a surgical site. A surgical evacuation system can be intelligent and may include one or more sensors for detecting one or more properties of the surgical system, evacuation system, surgical procedure, surgical site, and/or patient tissue, for example.
PUMP AND METHOD
A gerotor pump includes a pump head including a configuration of gerotors for pumping in operation a fluid medium from an input port arrangement to an output port arrangement, and a motor arrangement for providing mechanical power in operation for actuating the configuration of gerotors. The configuration of gerotors includes an outer gerotor and an inner gerotor that are operable to cooperate to entrap and propel the fluid medium from the input port arrangement to the output port arrangement. At least one of the outer gerotor and the inner gerotor are fabricated from a flexible material and/or are internally structured so as to exhibit a flexible peripheral exterior surface in operation. Moreover, the outer gerotor and the inner gerotor are loaded and/or are assembled together in a preloaded state, within the pump head, so that a gap formed between the gerotors whereat they mutually cooperate for entrapping and propelling the fluid medium is maintained in a flexibly compressed state when the pump is in operation. Optionally, at least one of the outer and inner gerotors is fabricated as a hybrid component including regions of a flexible material therein, and regions of an inflexible material therein. More optionally, the flexible material has a Young's modulus in a range of 1 MegaPascal (MPa) to 5 GigaPascals (GPa), and the inflexible material has a Young's modulus in a range of 2 GPa to 420 GPa.
