Waveform Disks for Use in a Disk-Pack Turbine
A pair of waveform disks for use in a disk-pack turbine used, for example, in systems and methods in at least one embodiment for separating fluids including liquids and gases into subcomponents by passing the fluid into an expansion chamber and then through at least a portion of a waveform pattern present between at least two disks. The disks having waveform patterns on at least one side.
Disk-pack turbine for water treatment systems
In at least one embodiment, the invention provides a retrofit for existing water treatment systems where the retrofit includes at least one of the following: a particulate separator, a supplementary inlet, and a waveform disk-pack turbine. In a further embodiment, the invention includes a water treatment system combined with at least one of the following: a particulate separator, a supplementary inlet, and a waveform disk-pack turbine.
Disk-Pack Turbine
A system and method are provided in at least one embodiment to process water to produce gas that can be separated into at least two gas flows using a water treatment system having a disk-pack rotating in it to cause out gassing from the water. In a further embodiment, the method and system use the gas released from the water to produce substantially fresh water from the processed salt water.
Water Treatment System and Disk-Pack Turbine
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module. In at least one embodiment, a water system includes vortex housing having an interior wall defining a vortex chamber in fluid communication with the expansion chamber of said disk-pack turbine and inlets into the vortex chamber, and the vortex chamber having an upper section with a bowl or modified concave hyperbolic shape into which fluid is received from said inlets and a lower section with a conical or funnel shape with a steep vertical angle of change that opens into expansion chamber. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
Water treatment system and method
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module where the intake module is above the vortex module, which is above the disk-pack module and the motor module. In a further embodiment, a housing is provided over at least the intake module and the vortex module and sits above the disk-pack module. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
CENTRIFUGAL BLOOD PUMP
A centrifugal blood pump includes: a housing; a suction inlet for introducing blood into the housing; an impeller that is rotatably disposed in the housing and imparts a centrifugal flow to the blood introduced through the suction inlet by rotation; and a discharge outlet for discharging the blood given a centrifugal flow by the impeller. The impeller is formed in a double impeller structure including double vanes arranged vertically.
Water treatment system and method
The invention in at least one embodiment includes a system for treating water having an intake module, a vortex module, a disk-pack module, and a motor module. In a further embodiment, a housing is provided over at least the intake module and the vortex module and sits above the disk-pack module. In at least one further embodiment, the disk-pack module includes a disk-pack turbine having a plurality of disks having at least one waveform present on at least one of the disks.
CONVECTORS
A convector for cooling a microprocessor includes a volute-shaped housing, a stator, and a rotor, and can be mounted to a CPU board of a computing device for thermal coupling with the microprocessor. The volute-shaped housing of the convector encapsulates the stator and the rotor, and has a radially outer casing which defines a single exit port for guiding a fluid out of the housing. The stator has a plurality of plates configured to conduct heat. The rotor has a plurality of disks and a shaft extending longitudinally along the housing. Together, the housing, the stator, and the rotor define a spiral flow path through the volute-shaped housing, in both radially outward and longitudinal directions, to the single exit port. A motor may be provided to impart rotational motion to the rotor.
Fluid-foil impeller and method of use
The present invention relates in general to the field of fluid reaction surfaces, and more specifically, to a fluid-foil impeller and method of use. One aspect of the fluid-foil impeller utilizes a plurality of fluid-foil discs that may be of uniform and/or variable thickness and configured to rotate rapidly in series to produce propulsion. Each fluid-foil disc comprises a leading edge, a trailing edge, a chord and a fixed pitch. The fluid-foil impeller may further include a standard or Venturi shroud that is designed to encompass the plurality of fluid-foil discs. The plurality of fluid-foil discs are configured to act in cooperation with the shroud to reduce losses incurred from turbulence and the conversion of mechanical work to fluid movement. Fluid may be acted upon by the plurality of fluid-foil discs and/or shroud, singly or in an array. A purpose of the invention is to provide a fluid-foil impeller and method of use that reduces harmful cavitation effects typically encountered by traditional propeller blades when operating at high revolutions per minute. An additional purpose of the invention is to provide a fluid-foil impeller that may be used efficiently and safely in a variety of industrial applications that requires successful propulsion a fluid.
Levitation System and Components
A system and method in at least one embodiment provides magnetic levitation to a vehicle above and/or partially about a rail or track using a flux field generator having a plurality of members having mated waveform patterns. In a further embodiment, the magnetic levitation also uses a distribution system. In a further embodiment, the plurality of members forms a disk-pack turbine. In a further embodiment, the flux field generator is not vehicle based.
