A method and computer program product for defining a PWM drive signal having a defined voltage potential. The PWM drive signal has a plurality of on portions and a plurality of off portions that define a first duty cycle for regulating, at least in part, a flow rate of a pump assembly. At least a portion of the on portions of the PWM drive signal are pulse width modulated to define a second duty cycle for the at least a portion of the on portions of the PWM drive signal. The second duty cycle regulates, at least in part, the percentage of the defined voltage potential applied to the pump assembly.

A rotary unit selectively adds additives to water in a conventional bathtub automatically without a bather having to touch the additives or leave the conventional bathtub to get the additives. The rotary unit includes a plurality of pressurized canisters and a controller. The plurality of pressurized canisters are configured in a circular configuration and are disposed directly adjacent to, and communicatable with, the conventional bathtub. Each pressurized canister contains a different one of the additives. The controller is in communication with the plurality of pressurized canisters, and as such, the controller is utilized to choose one of the additives to add to the water in the conventional bathtub automatically without the bather having to touch the chosen one of the additives or leave the conventional bathtub to get the chosen one of the additives.

Gas lock resolution during operation of an electric submersible pump

Gas lock resolution during operation of an electric submersible pump is provided. An example method, module, or computing hardware with software product, detects a gas lock during current operation of an electric submersible pump (ESP) and intervenes to relieve the gas lock without stopping the ESP. After sensing a gas lock condition, an example module calculates a pump speed for attempting gas lock resolution. The example module may decrease the speed of the ESP to flush the gas lock, and then reaccelerate the ESP to check that the gas lock has been eliminated. The example module may apply one or more stored motor speed patterns that iteratively seek a pump speed that succeeds in clearing the gas lock, without stopping the ESP. The example module has built-in protections to protect the ESP from thermal overload and other damage.

Hydraulic pump malfunction diagnosing device

A malfunction diagnosing device that includes pistons arranged in a circumferential direction and discharges oil with rotation in the circumferential direction is provided, including: a pressure sensor for detecting a pressure value of oil discharged from a hydraulic pump in rotation; a speed sensor for detecting a rotation phase of the hydraulic pump at a time when a pressure value of oil is detected by the pressure sensor; a phase calculation part; and a rendering part for rendering a model of a relationship between pressure values of oil detected by the pressure sensor and rotation phases of the hydraulic pump detected by the speed sensor and the phase calculation part to thereby obtain pulsating waveform data. This makes it possible to diagnose a malfunction of the hydraulic pump without influence of a change in a rotation speed of the hydraulic pump.
