The vibration sensor includes a substrate comprising a polymer and a resonant layer disposed on a surface of the substrate. The resonant layer comprises an electrically conductive nanomaterial and is configured to produce a resonant response in response to receiving a radio frequency signal.
NANOSENSOR COUPLED WITH RADIO FREQUENCY FOR PUMP CONDITION MONITORING
A sensor includes a radio frequency interrogator, a responsive patch, a radio frequency resonance detector, and a transmission line. The radio frequency interrogator is configured to produce an electromagnetic interrogation pulse having a first frequency. The responsive patch includes a substrate and a resonant layer disposed on a surface of the substrate. The substrate includes a polymer. The resonant layer includes an electrically conductive nanomaterial. The resonant layer is configured to resonate at the first frequency in response to receiving the electromagnetic interrogation pulse. The radio frequency resonance detector is configured to detect a resonating response of the responsive patch. The transmission line couples the responsive patch to the radio frequency resonance detector. The transmission line is configured to transmit the resonating response of the responsive patch to the radio frequency resonance detector.
Pump assembly and related methods
In one aspect, a pump is provided comprising a motor configured to rotate a shaft that is operably coupled to an impeller. The impeller is housed within a fluid chamber having an inlet and a discharge in fluid communication with the inlet. The fluid chamber further includes an outlet in a top portion thereof for venting air within the fluid chamber when the impeller is rotated by the motor. In other forms, a pump assembly is provided with an internal float switch integrated into the pump housing.
A Sensing Device, System And Method For A Pump
A sensing device for a centrifugal slurry pump having an impeller which rotates about an axis, the centrifugal slurry pump including a side liner and a main liner housed within an outer casing of the pump, the sensing device comprising; a body portion arranged to pass through the outer casing, wherein the body portion includes a sensor biased towards contact with either the side liner or the main liner of the pump.
Method of controlling a pump and motor
A variable frequency drive system and a method of controlling a pump driven by a motor with the pump in fluid communication with a fluid system is provided. The method includes monitoring a pressure in the fluid system, monitoring and adjusting an operating frequency of the motor to maintain the pressure at a pressure set point, and, based on the monitored operating frequency, causing the pump to temporarily boost the pressure in the fluid system to a temporary boost set point for a first time period. The method also includes determining whether the temporarily boosted pressure in the fluid system stays above the pressure set point for a second time period and causing the pump to enter a sleep mode when the temporarily boosted pressure stays above the pressure set point through the second time period.
Torque-thrust chamber for horizontal pump test systems
A test skid for a pumping system is configured to evaluate the performance of a pump. The test skid includes a motor and a torque-thrust chamber connected between the motor and the pump. The torque-thrust chamber has a torque meter and a thrust bearing. The thrust bearing is positioned between the torque meter and the motor such that the torque meter is connected directly to the pump through a pump input shaft. In this configuration, the torque meter measures the torque applied directly to the pump without the need to account for losses through an intermediate thrust bearing.
WELL SITE EDGE ANALYTICS
Systems and methods for real-time monitoring and control of well site operations employ well site edge analytics to detect abnormal operations. The systems and methods receive well site data from a remote programmable automation (PAC) controller at the well site, the well site data representing one or more operational parameters related to the well site operations. A probability is derived for a given slope for each one of the one or more operational parameters as correlated to a different one of the one or more operational parameters to produce correlated probabilities for the one or more operational parameters. A resultant probability is derived from the correlated probabilities for the one or more operational parameters and it is determined whether the resultant probability meets a preselected threshold probability value. A responsive action is initiated if the resultant probability fails to meet the preselected threshold probability value.
MOTOR AND APPARATUS USING THE SAME
A motor includes: a first portion that includes a plurality of permanent magnets; and a second portion that includes a plurality of coils, wherein the first portion or the second portion is configured to be rotatable around a rotation axis, wherein the plurality of permanent magnets are circumferentially arranged about the rotation axis, and wherein the plurality of coils are arranged so as to face the plurality of permanent magnets in a direction along the rotation axis, and the motor further includes: a control unit that controls a rotational speed and an attitude of the rotating first portion or the rotating second portion by controlling currents that are applied to the plurality of coils.
PARAMETER MONITORING AND CONTROL FOR AN ELECTRIC DRIVEN HYDRAULIC FRACKING SYSTEM
An electric driven hydraulic fracking system is disclosed. A pump configuration includes the single VFD, the single shaft electric motor, and the single hydraulic pump mounted on the single pump trailer. A controller associated with the single VFD and is mounted on the single pump trailer. The controller monitors operation parameters associated with an operation of the electric driven hydraulic fracking system as each component of the electric driven hydraulic fracking system operates to determine whether the operation parameters deviate beyond a corresponding operation parameter threshold. Each of the operation parameters provides an indicator as to an operation status of a corresponding component of the electric driven hydraulic fracking system. The controller initiates corrected actions when each operation parameter deviates beyond the corresponding operation threshold. Initiating the corrected actions when each operation parameter deviates beyond the corresponding operation threshold maintains the operation of the electric driven hydraulic fracking system.
Pump device having a detection device
The invention relates to a pump device having a pump (8) and an energy supply device (5, 18), wherein the pump has a conveying element (9, 11) which conveys a fluid by means of supplied energy, wherein the pump has a transport state and an operating state, and wherein at least one first element (9, 9a, 10, 10′, 11) of the pump has a different shape and/or size in the transport state than in the operating slate. The operating safety of such a pump device is increased by a detection device (12, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29) which detects whether at least the first element is in the operating state with respect to shape and/or size by means of a sensor.
