High speed electric submersible pumps

An electric submersible pump assembly with integral heat exchanger, high speed gas separator, high-speed self-aligning bearings, and dual bearing thrust chamber is described. The described gas separator may be used for operating an electric submersible pump at high speeds as well as over a wide range of speeds and flowrates without replacing downhole equipment.

Support frame for positive pressure blower

The present invention provides support frames for positive pressure blowers having one or more wheels mounted at a lower corner of the frame, wherein the wheels are mounted to roll in a direction that is perpendicular to the flow of air through the blower. This sideways orientation of the wheels allows a frame carrying a blower to be easily moved from side to side, such as when placed into or removed from a side compartment on an emergency vehicle, and allows such a frame carrying a blower to be easily tilted, turned and rolled around at the scene of a fire in much the same manner as a wheelbarrow. Embodiments of the invention may include an upper handle or grip which allows a user to control the frames by tilting and rolling them around on the wheels. Embodiments of the invention may include a support bracket for holding a battery or other power supply.

A blower further includes a variable nozzle disposed at the outlet end. The variable nozzle includes an attachment collar, the attachment collar comprising a body defining an exterior surface and an interior surface and extending along a longitudinal axis. The variable nozzle further includes a plurality of air control bodies, each of the plurality of air control bodies movably connected to the attachment collar and comprising an air control surface and an extension rod. The variable nozzle further includes an adjustment collar, the adjustment collar disposed around the attachment collar and defining a plurality of adjustment channels, wherein each of the plurality of extension rods is disposed in one of the plurality of adjustment channels.

A fan includes an annular frame, a rail assembly, a driving member and blades. The blades are connected to the driving member. The driving member is electromagnetically movable along the maglev assembly that extends along an edge of the annular frame. The driving member does not contact the annular frame or the maglev assembly so that when the fan is used, the maglev assembly is energized to generate an electromagnetic force between the maglev assembly and the driving member to move the driving member along the edge of the annular frame to drive the blades to rotate. Therefore, the blades can be rotated without having to use any motor behind the annular frame, thereby reducing the volume of the fan.
