COUPLING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF DRIVING A MONOPILE
Provided is a coupling assembly for connecting a tower or a transition piece of a wind turbine to a monopile including a first coupling part configured to be connected to the monopile and a second coupling part configured to be connected to the first coupling part. Further provided is a tower end of a tower of a wind turbine connected to a second coupling part of the coupling assembly. Finally, a method of driving a monopile of a wind turbine into the ground, a top end of the monopile being connected to a first coupling part of the coupling assembly is also provided.
Device and Method for Placing a Component of a Wind Turbine
Described is a device for placing a component of a wind turbine on a wind turbine tower. The device includes a hoisting means with a hoisting cable for taking up the component. A positioning tool is connected to the hoisting cable by means of an intermediately arranged intermediate construction which forms part of the positioning tool. A guide frame of the positioning tool is connected on one side to the intermediate construction and is provided on another side with engaging means for engaging a peripheral part of the wind turbine tower. The invention likewise relates to a method which makes use of the invented device.
Multi-axial wave energy conversion device
A multi-axial wave energy conversion device includes a carrier, a main body coupled to the carrier, a wave energy conversion assembly, a rotating mechanism, a lifting mechanism and a control unit electrically connected to the rotating mechanism and the lifting mechanism. The wave energy conversion assembly is coupled to the main body and includes an arm. The rotating mechanism is coupled between the carrier and the main body. The lifting mechanism is coupled between the arm and the main body. The control unit is for controlling the rotating mechanism to drive the main body to rotate relative to the carrier around a vertical axis for adjusting an orientation of the arm relative to the carrier, and further for controlling the lifting mechanism to drive the arm to rotate relative to the main body around a horizontal axis for adjusting an included angle between the arm and the main body.
TENSIONED SUPPORT POST AND OTHER MOLTEN METAL DEVICES
A vertically-elongated member, which is preferably a support post used in a molten metal pump, includes a ceramic tube and tensioning structures to add a compressive load to the tube along its longitudinal axis. This makes the tube less prone to breakage. Another vertically-elongated member, such as a support post, includes one or more reinforcement members to help alleviate breakage. A device, such as a pump, used in a molten metal bath includes one or more of such vertical members.
Frame-supported pump
The frame-supported pump is assembled without the use of tools. In place of bolts or threaded connections, an external frame provides the support necessary to resist the internal pressure of the pump. Upper and lower pump housings include grooves that slide into a slotted support or frame—a slip-in mount. In alternative embodiments the grooves are replaced with holes that slide over rods, or other means of external support prevent the pump housings from moving away from each other during pumping. A pin is optionally used to prevent the housings from sliding out of the frame, or friction is sufficient. When the pumps are in service, the internal pressure attempts to push the housings away from each other, but this force is passed to the frame, which responds with a matching force, keeping the housings in place.

Impeller, impeller blade wheel, air-blowing device, and method of manufacturing air-blowing device
An impeller that rotates about a central axis extending vertically includes a base portion and blades. The base portion spreads perpendicularly to the central axis. The blades are on an upper surface of the base portion at intervals in a circumferential direction. The base portion includes an irregular portion that is radially outward and in which irregularities are repeated in the circumferential direction. The irregular portion includes one or more first irregular regions and a second irregular region. The first irregular regions include first recesses with a same shape and first projections with a same shape, the first recesses and projections being alternately arranged one by one. The second irregular region is positioned between the first irregular regions and includes at least one among a second recess with a different shape from the first recesses and a second projection with a different shape from the first projections.
Articulating joint for wind turbine
An articulating joint for a wind turbine having a tower defining a shaft and a deck provided in the shaft includes a bracket extending from a first end having a fixed connection with the deck to a second end including an opening. A fastener includes a head pivotably connected to the tower and a shaft extending through the opening. A washer connected to the bracket is aligned with the opening for receiving the shaft such that the fastener is pivotable with the washer relative to the opening to allow for relative movement between the tower and the deck.
VERTICAL SHAFT WIND POWER GENERATION DEVICE AND HYDROPOWER GENERATION DEVICE ACCOMMODATED IN CONTAINER
Provided is a vertical axis wind power generation device including a wind turbine of a vertical axis type including a support column, a main shaft disposed on an upper portion of the support column so as to be rotatable, a plurality of blades coupled to the main shaft through arms; a power generator; and a container having a standard dimension for freight transport. The wind turbine is accommodatable in a folded or disassembled state in the container together with the power generator. The container is provided with a support-column fixing part configured to fix the support column of the wind turbine to the container. The container may include an inclining mount inside the container, the inclining mount being configured to accommodate a folded body of the wind turbine.
