During a period of lack of use, a person risks muscle atrophy and/or otherwise losing muscle strength/functionality. During such a period of lack of user, a photoceutical can be applied to the person’s muscle(s) through a photoceutical medical device to decrease the occurrence of these risks. The photoceutical is specially configured to reduce these risks and includes at least one of a pulsed light signal, a continuous light signal, and a super-pulsed light signal.

A light therapy bed including multiple LEDs positioned in individually controllable modules is disclosed.
