METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEMISPHERICAL SHOE FOR SWASH PLATE COMPRESSOR AND INJECTION MOLDING DIE
The present invention provides a method for producing a durable semispherical shoe which can be prevented from being subjected to seizure even in a dry lubrication state in which there is no lubricating oil at a start time of an operation of a swash plate compressor, can be restrained from deteriorating in its lubricating property due to generated frictional heat, and can be restrained from deteriorating in its strength at a production time and an injection molding die. A semispherical shoe (4), for a swash plate compressor, to be produced by the production method has a base material (5), consisting of a hard material, which has a hollow part along a central axis thereof and a resin layer, consisting of a resin composition, which is formed on a surface of a planar part, disposed on a periphery of the base member, which is to be subjected to sliding contact with the swash plate and on a surface of a spherical part, disposed on the periphery thereof, which is to be subjected to sliding contact with a piston. A resin-filled portion (8) where the resin composition is filled and an empty portion where the resin composition is not filled are formed in the hollow part of the base material. The resin-filled portion (8) and the resin layer are formed by injecting and filling the resin composition into a portion to be formed as the resin-filled portion (8) with the base material (5) being disposed inside a cavity (22) of the injection molding die.
INSULATION LAYER ON STEEL PISTONS WITHOUT GALLERY
A galleryless steel piston designed to improve thermal efficiency, fuel consumption, and performance of an engine is provided. The piston includes a steel body portion and a thermal barrier layer applied to an upper combustion surface and/or a ring belt to reduce the amount of heat transferred from a combustion chamber to the body portion. The thermal barrier layer has a thermal conductivity which is lower than a thermal conductivity of the steel body portion. The thermal barrier layer typically includes a ceramic material, for example ceria, ceria stabilized zirconia, and/or a mixture of ceria stabilized zirconia and yttria stabilized zirconia in an amount of 90 to 100 wt. %, based on the total weight of the ceramic material. The thermal barrier layer can also have a gradient structure which gradually transitions from 100 wt. % of a metal bond material to 100 wt. % of the ceramic material.
THERMAL BARRIER COATINGS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
A thermal barrier coating for an internal combustion engine includes an insulating thermal spray coating, where a chosen material of the insulating thermal spray coating has a thermal conductivity lower than 2 W/mK in fully dense form and the chosen material includes a coefficient of thermal expansion within 5 ppm/K of a coefficient of thermal expansion of a material of a component of the internal combustion engine upon which the coating is placed.
LINEAR COMPRESSOR
A linear compressor is provided that may include a shell provided with a refrigerant inlet; a cylinder provided inside of the shell to form a compression space; a piston that reciprocates inside of the cylinder to compress a refrigerant in the compression space; and a motor assembly that provides a drive force to the piston and provided with a permanent magnet. The piston may include a piston body having a cylindrical outer circumferential surface and a surface-treated area, which may be processed with a material having a predetermined hardness value, and a valve support provided at an end of the piston body and having a suctioning hole be in communication with the compression space. The valve support may form a first non-surface-treated area, which is not surface-treated.
Engine combustion chamber structure and manufacturing method thereof
An object of the present invention is to enhance the thermal efficiency of an engine, to provide a film having low thermal conductivity and low heat capacity and being free from separation, drop-off and the like and excellent in durability and reliability. According to the present invention, an engine combustion chamber structure, wherein an anodic oxide film having a thickness of from more than 20 μm to 500 μm and a porosity of 20% or more is formed on the inner surface of the engine combustion chamber, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided.
LINEAR COMPRESSOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A LINEAR COMPRESSOR
A linear compressor and a method for manufacturing a linear compressor are provided. A piston of a linear compressor may include a surface treatment body made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy; a first surface treatment provided on an outer surface of the surface treatment body by a first vacuum deposition process; and a second surface treatment provided on an outer surface of the first surface treatment by a second vacuum deposition process.
PISTON FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH A SHAFT
A piston for an internal combustion engine may include a shaft. A dual-layer coating with an inner layer and an outer layer may be applied to the shaft. The inner layer may include organic binders and solid lubricants. The inner layer may also include hard material particles of at least one of tungsten disulphide (WS.sub.2), tungsten carbide (WC), silicon carbide (SiC), and aluminium oxide (Al.sub.2O.sub.3). The outer layer may include inorganic binders, may be air-hardening, and may have a lower wear resistance than the inner layer.
Swash plate of a swash plate type compressor and the swash plate type compressor
A swash plate fulfils the basic properties required for a swash plate, which are stable boundary lubricating state by lubricating oil, without forming a metal spray coating layer comprising a copper type or aluminum type material on the surface of a substrate 3a forming the swash plate 3 of the swash plate type compressor as an intermediate layer. The substrate 3a of the swash plate 3 comprises a disk-shaped steel sheet formed by pressing a rolled steel sheet into a disk shape, and both surfaces of the disk-shaped steel sheet are ground. Thus, resin coating layers 10 containing fluororesin, which has superior seizure resistance, can be strongly fixed to the substrate without the need to form a metal spray coating layer on the surface of the substrate. This improves the durability of the swash plate type compressor using carbon dioxide gas as a refrigerant.
