The present invention relates to a rotor blade arrangement for a turbomachine, with a rotor blade which has a sealing tip radially on the outside, and with a seal arrangement, wherein the seal arrangement forms a radially inwardly open cavity, in which the sealing tip is arranged, to which end the seal arrangement has a first sealing element, namely a first seal carrier with a first run-in coating, and a second sealing element, wherein the first run-in coating delimits the cavity radially on the outside, and the second sealing element delimits the cavity in an axial direction, and wherein the first and the second sealing element are assembled.

Blade assembly for gas turbine engine

A blade assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a rotor, a stator, a seal plate, and a sealing member. The rotor includes a rotor blade and a rotor disc. The rotor disc defines a bucket groove which receives a cooling fluid from a first cavity upstream of the rotor. The sealing member includes a control arm. The sealing member and the rotor define a flow cavity therebetween in fluid communication with an aperture of the seal plate. The flow cavity receives the cooling fluid flowing through the bucket groove and the aperture. The control arm and the seal plate define a gap therebetween fluidly communicating the flow cavity with a second cavity between the stator and the rotor. The control arm deflects at least a portion of the cooling fluid entering the flow cavity.

Feather seal mateface cooling pockets

A component for a gas turbine engine includes a mateface with a purge flow interface, the mateface comprises a pocket located in communication with a feather seal slot in a mateface. A vane for a gas turbine engine includes a platform that extends from the airfoil, the platform comprising a mateface with a feather seal slot and a pocket in communication with the feather seal slot, wherein the pocket is of a cross-sectional shape larger than the feather seal slot.

Radial turbine rotor for gas turbine engine

A radial turbine rotor associated with an engine includes a disk, and a plurality of blades spaced apart about a perimeter of the disk. Each blade includes a forward end, an aft end and a root. The radial turbine rotor includes a plurality of sectors, with each sector coupled to the root of a respective blade of the plurality of blades. Each sector of the plurality of sectors defines a first surface configured to contact a working fluid and a second surface configured to be coupled to the disk, and each sector of the plurality of sectors defines at least one pocket between the first surface and the second surface proximate the forward end that extends toward the aft end. The radial turbine rotor includes a feather seal slot defined between adjacent sectors of the plurality of sectors proximate the first surface.

TURBINE ENGINE WITH INTERLOCKING SEAL

A turbine engine with an outer rotor that circumscribes an inner rotor. The outer rotor includes circumferentially arranged components with a radial outer end and radial inner end. Inner ends of confronting sides of adjacent components include at least one damper element to dampen the relative motion of the components or to provide at least a partial seal between adjacent components.

A gas turbine engine includes a ceramic wall for bounding an engine core gas path. The ceramic wall has a ceramic wall first side that faces the engine core gas path and a ceramic wall second side that faces away from the engine core gas path. There is a metallic wall adjacent the ceramic wall second side. The metallic wall has a metallic wall first side that faces the ceramic wall and a metallic wall second side that faces away from the ceramic wall. The metallic wall and the ceramic wall are spaced apart such that there is a channel there between. There is a seal on the ceramic wall second side, and the metallic wall has at least one cooling hole adjacent the seal for emitting cooling air to cool the seal.

ATTACHMENT REGION FOR CMC COMPONENTS

A component for a gas turbine engine includes a component body formed of ceramic matrix composite lamina and has at least one hook. The at least one hook has an attachment region radially inward of the at least one hook. The attachment region is radially thinner from a hook end of the at least one hook to a remote end, and then becomes radially thicker. A slot is formed through a radial thickness of the at least one hook from the hook end in a remote direction, such that there are two sections of the attachment region. A gas turbine engine is also disclosed.
