Assembly for retaining a gear train in a turbomachine

The invention relates to an assembly for holding an epicyclic gear train in a turbomachine comprising an annular housing in which are engaged a first annular part and a second annular part which are locked against rotation in the housing by first annular interlocking means and second annular interlocking means, respectively, wherein the first annular interlocking means are configured to allow a first circumferential clearance between the first annular part and the housing, the second annular interlocking means are configured to allow a second circumferential clearance between the second annular part and the housing, and the first circumferential clearance is strictly less than the second circumferential clearance.

Joining components

A component which is configured to be joined to a further component in a preselected relative orientation is disclosed. The further component has an interface surface and the component is configured to contact the interface surface when joined to the further component. The component includes a surface disposed on a side of the component intended to face the interface surface when the components are joined, a plurality of recesses formed in the surface, and a plurality of spacer elements. Each recess has a preselected orientation relative to the component, the preselected orientation being selected in dependence on the preselected relative orientation. Each spacer element comprises a contact surface configured to contact the interface surface when the components are joined. Each spacer element is disposed in one of the recesses such that the orientation of a given contact surface is defined by the orientation of the corresponding recess.

A gear reduction reduces a speed of a fan rotor relative to a speed of a fan drive turbine. A rigid connection between a fan case and an inner core housing includes a plurality of A-frames connected at a connection point to the fan case. Legs in the A-frames extend away from the connection point in opposed circumferential directions to be connected to a compressor wall of the inner core housing. The rigid connection also includes a plurality of fan exit guide vanes rigidly connected to the fan case. A lateral stiffness ratio of the lateral stiffness of the plurality of fan exit guide vanes and a lateral stiffness of a combination of the plurality of A-frame, the compressor wall, and a fan intermediate case which is forward of the low pressure compressor being greater than or equal to 0.6 and less than or equal to 2.0.

A gas turbine engine includes a fan rotor driven by a fan drive turbine about an axis through a gear reduction. An inner core engine has an inner core engine housing surrounding a compressor section, including a low pressure compressor. A rigid connection between a fan case and the inner core engine includes A-frames rigidly connected at a connection point to the fan case. Fan exit guide vanes rigidly connect to the fan case, and to the inner core engine. A fan intermediate case is positioned forward of a first rotor stage in the low pressure compressor. A rigid structure is connected to the inner core engine and to the fan exit guide vanes. The rigid structure defines a structure moment stiffness. The fan intermediate case defines an intermediate case moment stiffness. A ratio of the structure moment stiffness to the intermediate case moment stiffness is between 5 and 15.

Service apparatus for use with rotary machines

A service apparatus for use in maintaining a machine including a stator and a rotor is provided. The service apparatus includes a carriage assembly configured to couple to the rotor. The service apparatus is selectively transitionable between a stowed position in which the service apparatus is rotatable with the rotor and an extended position in which the service apparatus is extended toward the stator. The service apparatus also includes at least one maintenance device coupled to the carriage assembly. The at least one maintenance device is operable to perform a maintenance operation on a surface of the stator with the service apparatus in the extended position.

SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING MOBILE POWER

The present invention discloses a system for providing mobile power, in which the required equipment for the power supply system at fracturing fields as well as connection cables and connection hoses are integrated properly, assigned onto three transport vehicles for movement and effectively connected. Intake components and a turbine generation system are combined on a first transport vehicle and installed together, then transported to customer sites directly, thus saving the installation time at the user sites. The two different designs on the locations of an exhaust stack and an exhaust silencer not only meet the requirements of road transportation, but also meet the requirements of exhaust gas emission during operations.
