A method is provided for detecting and quantifying obstructions in a gas network under pressure or vacuum. The gas network may be provided with a sensor(s) capable of recording the status of a source(s), consumers, or consumer areas. The method includes: a possible start-up phase; a baseline or zero phase; and an operational phase. The operational phase includes: reading out the first group and second group of sensors; re-estimating, determining or calculating the physical model or mathematical relationship on the basis of the read measurements from the sensors; determining or calculating of the existence of an obstruction in the system based on the difference and/or its derivatives between the parameters of the physical model or mathematical relationship as determined during the baseline or zero phase and the operational phase; generating an alarm and/or generating a degree of obstruction and/or generating the corresponding obstruction if an obstruction is detected.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC CALIBRATION OF ACTUATORS
A system for automatic calibration of an actuator, where the system has an actuator and a computer, and the computer further includes a PID controller. A sensor connected to the actuator transmits values representing the motion of the actuator to the input of the PID controller. The computer is programmed to compare the values representing the motion of the actuator to the output of the PID controller, thus outputting an error signal representing the difference between the output of the PID controller and the values representing the motion of the actuator. The computer stores this difference as a calibrated set point for the actuator when the difference is less than a predetermined amount. This calibrated set point is used to initialize the operation of a machine propelled by the actuator.
Nozzle with changeable press fit

The method comprises the steps of providing a nozzle within a cylindrical body defining a cylindrical bore, the nozzle having a tubular shape with an outer cylindrical surface and an inner radial surface, the method further comprises the steps of positioning a first, tubular locking member within the nozzle, and axially moving the first, tubular locking member within the nozzle. The first tubular locking member is configured to cause the nozzle to become positionally fixed at a selected position within the bore in response to the first, tubular locking member being axially moved relative to the nozzle. A nozzle positioning system is also described herein.
Vehicle brake system with adaptive pressure calibration
A method of calibrating a solenoid actuated valve includes: providing a brake system including a fluid pressure source: providing a valve having a solenoid, and wherein the valve is in fluid communication with the fluid pressure source; operating the fluid pressure source to provide a constant flow of fluid to the valve; energizing the solenoid of the valve with a constant current such that fluid flows through the valve; measuring the pressure of the fluid flowing at the valve; adjusting the current sent to the solenoid until a predetermined pressure has been obtained; storing a nominal current value of the current required to obtain the predetermined pressure; and calibrating the valve by adding a correction offset factor to the nominal current value for future actuation of the solenoid of the valve.
Apparatus and method for assisting hydraulic cylinder stroke initial calibration work
The present invention includes a stroke sensor which is arranged on a hydraulic cylinder and measures a stroke length of the hydraulic cylinder; a rotary encoder and a magnetic force sensor which measure a reset reference point to reset a value of the stroke length measured by the stroke sensor; a stroke end detection processing unit which detects a stroke end position of the hydraulic cylinder; a calibration processing unit which calibrates the measured value of the stroke length when the reset reference point and/or the stroke end position is detected; an HMI monitor which displays an entire work machine mounted with the hydraulic cylinder when an initial calibration work for the hydraulic cylinder is carried out; and a highlight display processing unit that highlights a moving portion to drive a hydraulic cylinder to be calibrated along with an indication of a driving direction.

Method and apparatus for automatically detecting gripper positions
In order to provide an improved method and device to facilitate the teach-in of gripper positions, it is suggested that the positions be automatically detected. The procedure shall include: starting a teach-in process, detecting the position and the direction of movement of the actuating element on its path with a sensor, performing gripping movements from one position to another and stopping the gripper in each of the positions, storing the position of the actuating element when the gripper stops and storing the direction of movement from which this position was approached as the associated direction of movement, stopping the teach-in process when as many different positions with the associated movement directions have been stored as there are gripper positions, assigning of the gripper positions to the three positions from the stored positions and the stored, associated movement directions.
