ACCUMULATOR
An accumulator includes: a main cylindrical housing having a closed first axial end and a second axial end; a piston arranged in the main cylindrical housing and sealed to an inner surface of the main cylindrical housing, which piston is movable in an axial direction and provides with the main cylindrical housing and the closed first axial end of the main cylindrical housing a variable accumulating space; an urging device arranged between the piston and the second axial end of the main cylindrical housing for urging the piston towards the first axial end of the main cylindrical housing; a fluid supply opening arranged in the first axial end of the main cylindrical housing, which fluid supply opening is in fluid connection with the variable accumulating space; and a protective cylindrical housing having a first and a second axial end, the protective cylindrical housing being arranged concentrically.
HYBRID HYDRAULIC ACCUMULATOR
An exemplary hybrid accumulator includes a piston slidably disposed in a cylinder and separating a reservoir from a pressure chamber, in use, a hydraulic fluid disposed in the reservoir and a spring disposed in the pressure chamber to act on the piston and pre-charge the hydraulic fluid to a first pressure, and a heating element in communication with the pressure chamber to increase pressure in the pressure chamber when the heating element is initiated.
ACCUMULATOR SYSTEM
An accumulator system that includes a housing. The housing defines a function chamber and a balance chamber. A piston moves axially within the housing. The piston separates the function chamber from the balance chamber. An electric actuator couples to and drives the piston within the housing to compress and drive a first fluid out of the function chamber.
Reusable gas generator driven pressure supply system
An exemplary method includes using a pressure supply device (PSD) to actuate a hydraulic customer includes activating, when in the first position, a first gas generator of the multiple gas generators thereby driving the piston to the second position, pressurizing the hydraulic fluid, and discharging the pressurized hydraulic fluid to the customer; actuating the customer in response to receiving the pressurized hydraulic fluid; resetting the piston to first position by transferring a resetting hydraulic fluid into the reservoir; and exhausting gas and condensate from the gas chamber in response to resetting the piston to the first position.
EQUALIZATION DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR IN THE FORM OF A TANK
The invention relates to an equalization device, in particular in the form of a tank, the housing (2) of which has at least one inlet (8) and one outlet (10) for receiving and discharging fluid, respectively, at least in one of the housing walls (4) of said housing, which housing can be filled with the fluid, characterized in that at least one equalization body (14) is arranged within the housing (2), which equalization body is at least partly provided with an elastically compliant separating wall (20), the interior of the equalization body thus being delimited, and that the interior is at least partly in pressure-equalizing connection (32) with the surroundings at a passage (12, 32) through one of the housing walls (4).
Pyrotechnic pressure generator
An exemplary method of actuating an operational device includes activating a propellant in a pyrotechnic pressure generator, the pyrotechnic pressure generator comprising an elongated body having a first end, a second end, and a bore extending axially from a barrier to the second end, a piston slidably disposed in the bore, the propellant located in a chamber between the first end and the barrier, a gas outlet orifice through the barrier providing gas communication between the chamber, and a port at the second end in communication with the operational device; producing a gas in the chamber in response to activating the propellant, the gas escaping through the gas outlet orifice into the bore and the gas applying a force to the piston; moving the piston in a stroke from a position proximate to the barrier to a position proximate to the second end; communicating a pressure to the operational device that is equal to or greater than an operating pressure of the operational device in response to moving the piston; and actuating the operational device in response to communicating the pressure to the operational device.
Expansion tank with improved pipe fitting
An expansion tank includes two half-shells coupled to each other, an inner flexible membrane suited to divide the inside of the casing in two compartments, a counter cap made of a thermoplastic material, a pipe fitting suited to provide a connection and having a first tubular portion and a second portion in the shape of a flat ring that are made of a thermoplastic material, wherein the second ring-shaped portion is joined to the counter cap at the level of an opening in the tank.
Accumulator
An accumulator includes a pressure container, a tubular bellows, a bellows cap divisionally defining a liquid chamber and a gas chamber in cooperation with the bellows. A stay provided with a through hole partitions the liquid chamber into a closed liquid chamber on a side of the bellows and an open liquid chamber on a side of the liquid pressure port. The bellows cap includes an elastic abutment part provided with an annular sealing part positioned around the through hole to face the through hole, a buffering part is positioned on a radially inner side of the sealing part, and communication passages always communicating with the through hole are formed in the buffering part of the elastic abutment part.
ENGINE FLUID SYSTEM WITH ACCUMULATOR AND HYDRAULIC ACCESSORY
A fluid system for a gas turbine engine includes a first supply line, a hydraulic accessory actuable by a fluid, and a second supply line fluidly connected the hydraulic accessory and to the first supply line upstream of the component. An accumulator is fluidly connected to the second supply line upstream of the hydraulic accessory. The accumulator is operable to fill a reservoir with the fluid from the first supply line via the second supply line, and to deliver the fluid to the hydraulic accessory via the second supply line. The first supply line may be a fuel or lubricant main supply line of the engine. A method of actuating a hydraulic accessory is also disclosed.
